Props to Thomas for spending time with family, congratulations on your newest addition to the family (for all that didn't catch his tweet, he welcomed his second child a few months ago. That's why he's stepping back). This is a fantastic idea for the band IMO, it doesn't replace Angus and explains his absence in the lore. Killer pick for the substitute vocalist. And, as always, every piece of music Seeb touches in the studio turns to gold.

Though Thomas is stepping away, I do hope they do a studio-only-EP or something similar to bridge the lore, with Angus vs Seebulon proper. After reading the description... Uff. Honestly it makes me quite a bit worried as the main thing of Angus Mcsix was seeing the original Angus from Gloryhammer come back and... Well. Having him back for one album is a bit short in retroperspective. But I get the reasoning around it and the new song is pretty good! We'll see what the future brings and I am open for all new good metal! Although I am a bit wondering what the band'd do if Thomas came back. Would the new singer just... leave the band again? And what about Skaw... Lots of questions around my favourite Powermetal band. Especially considering album 1 ended with a cliffhanger. However I am open for the future and wanna give the new lineup a fair chance! Keep rocking around! The new singer sounds pretty amazing!

Yeah same worries here. Best case scenario is that Thomas and Sam share the main spot like FEUERSCHWANZ does it with their 2 singers. Worst case Thomas is gone and the new line up doesnt get to catch me. But I'll have to wait for the (potential) Album and a live performance to judge that.

Considering what a musical / story lore mastermind Chris is, I wouldn't be surprised if this was all just an act for some future Gloryhammer / McSix crossover or story merge. I mean, McSix name (McFife) and wacky universe (Laser dinosaurs etc...) is so obviously ripped from Gloryhammer, not to mention the Master of the Universe intro "Glory left my hammer" and in the music video he is wearing still the same outfit and throws away the hammer, which would imply that McSix is a continuity for the Angus McFife that fell to the volcano. Surely there are some trademarks for the Gloryhammer material?

Well I hate that Angus is stepping back, but I'm glad he's keeping his priorities straight with the new mighty McSix Jr. Can't miss out on those early years. I'm just glad they got a new vocalist that seems to also have great range as well. He sounds awesome. Also his costume is cool as heck. And it's great seeing Queen Thalestris and Seeb back too. ^_^ As long as the songs are still fiery and fun, I'll stay onboard. :D

I have hopes for the new singer, but I hope Thomas will return to the band soon and he's mainly on parental leave. Yes, family is a priority and I can understand, but they shouldn't forget why this band is formed in the first place; this is about the glorious return of Angus. It's be a bummer that Angus, the mighty Starlord, would end his journey so soon. Let Thomas return soon, that him stepping back is only temporary, and likely, on the next album or so, Angus makes a triumphant return and proclaim to the universe, "Guess who's back? I'm back, ever better!".

I say this with no ill feelings towards the band, but angus is the reason I even got into power metal in the first place… his voice is utterly unique and iconic in a way that I just can’t really enjoy anyone else. Like I skip the firefly song every time, I’m that serious. As a father of 4 myself I’m glad he’s doing the right thing for his family, but man I’m going to miss you… all the best to the band and I hope this album warrants a third, and angus may find it in him to take up his sword once more. ❤

I have to admit that Gloryhammer's "He Has Returned" just feeld more alive. There is more variety and more going on in that song. I hope upcoming songs can convince me otherwise. As it is totally understandable, that Thomas wants to spend more time with the family, i am nevertheless very sad about this decision. Thomas is the heart and soul of Angus McSix, with his absolutely charismatic voice. As with Gloryhammer, the new singer is good, no question, but also generic in the world of Power Metal. As for the new song... I'm not that hyped as many others. It's an "ok" song but not more and the standard from the first album is very high. Also i wanted to see Angus on tour, but without Thomas, i am not so sure about it anymore. Of course this is my personal opinion and at the moment i'm just shocked and sad, that Thomas is stepping back from the band. Hopes and wishes are, that he makes a glorious return on the third album 🤘
