I made these over 50 years ago. Back then, it was common to decorate the wedding party's cars with streamers and these tissue flowers. I remember making hundreds of them a few days before the wedding. Everyone had a wonderful time doing it! After the ceremony we'd cruise around all over town, honking the horn, and everyone would notice, many people smiled & waved! Great times back then! I was in 6 weddings within a 3 year span, & loved every minute of them.

We did this when we were kids, in the 60's, using kleenex and not having to cut anything. Decorated a float for our Girl Scout troup for Thanksgiving. There were about 30 of us kids and some moms, and it turned out really nice!! It was a fun project.

Back in the '70s we used to make paper flowers, exactly this way, and we made them out of large sheets of tissue paper. The kind you line gift boxes with. They made huge flowers and so pretty! The process is the same tho.

I learned this in third grade except we used those bread tiers instead of a rubber band. I never forgot how to do it, either. I used to spray my favorite perfume on them and it made my room smell really nice. Thanks for the memories.

Nice ,I and my friends love to do this in school with my teacher with pocket size tissue papers,each tissue packet comes with one colour, there is 4 colours to choose pink blue , yellow, white 1973, 1paper have 2 ply ,take 2 tissue get 4 ply ,but now tissue papers comes in white ,I still make tissue paper flowers with my children now with my grandchildren is really fun 💖

I have watched this video many times and it is still a mystery to me . A napkin cut into four yet 10 pieces each side was pulled up to make the rose.
