So lets talk about what is new with these grills and what makes them different from the pro series.
First let me tell you what Is the same. They grills have the same burners and the same flame tamers style. So the way the two grills cook is going to be the same.
The only thing that is functionally different in these grills is going to be the cooking grates themselves. The 700 series have thicker diameter cooking grates and the cooking grates are closer together. So that is kind of cool.
The rest of the differences between these two grills is really cosmetic more than anything. The new 700 series is really built for a true built in grill set up. Wheras the prestige series is pretty much a cart designed grill that is turned into a built in combo. What this means is the 700 series being designed for a built in combo, just has a nicer fit and finish in my opinion because it was designed with outdoor kitchens in mind. The actual hood is a lot different too. And offers cleaner lines, and an all stainless steel look.
Also the 700 series does not offer all of the lighting features that the pro series does, and does not come standard with a rotisserie kit. All that being said. Napoleon did that on purpose and the reason is, to keep the price down. The 700 series is a pretty awesome grill for the money, and I would stack it up against any other built in grill like a blaze etc.
Don’t forget if your in the Denver Colorado Area visit our showroom today.

Thanks for the videos! After watching untold hours of them, I ordered a 700 yesterday. Though I couldn't find the power burner on their website, I spoke to someone in chat who helped track that down and confirmed that I didn't need the cable to connect the grill head to the burner. Looking forward to getting it installed outside and get cookin'!

The best BBQ channel in all of the you tubes. I have learned so much about grills/choices - great job - Thank You Trevor! I would give you my business but buying it from you and import it to Canada just does not make sense...😀-especially for something that is made here in Canada. I am also in process of replacing my old trusted broil king sovereign - which is working great - but I want something better with new features/possibilities. After watching your videos - I really got interested in Napoleon - everything checks -except standard side burner configuration. For me Prestige Pro series is better than 700 series. Prestige Pro 665 has that wau effect when you see it and built in internal lights are must have for me - which 700 series does not have. Also 700 series does not have as solid feel as Pro series. The only problem I have with 665 is the lack of the standard burner - that is a must have for us - we cook outside in summer all the time to keep heat out of a house. So I wanted to buy a built in 665 with additional burner - but than realized that you cannot daisy chain external burner with 665 - only with 700 series. Also, built in Oasis cart for 665 is much more expensive than it is for 700 series - so Napoleon will have to do some changes and enable Pro series into customization. (hopefully) For example: 625 would be a perfect grill for me if it only would have an option to have a power burner (maybe on the right side instead of beer pan - which i find is kind of missed implementation - even with the cutting board as close to the hot grill - it might be an injury hazard. 825 has it all but it has small firebox which is not working for me. It would be nice to see if Napoleon would offer some sort of customization possibilities through modular approach with modular parts that could be swapped in and out. (as is now with Napoleon where you can swap infrared burner instead of regular main burner). I find it interesting that after checking Napoleon, Weber, Blaze, Broil King - none of them has a model that would check all of the boxes I want! This is going to be my forever grill - just have to figure out situation with additional standard cooking burners (it complicates installation with additional NG outlets etc.) It will most likely be Pro 665! Also, what is important to me - is to support our fellow North American workers and buy a product that is made here!

i feel like both of these grills are very nice its hard to choose one over the other. the biggest difference i see is the better mount bracket for the 700 and the thicker grates. but i have 9mm grates on my weber and they are heavy duty so i can imagine even thicker ones. having lights on the grill is nice but you can just buy a $10-20 headlamp if you want to bbq in the dark.

Great videos here, hey I'm about to buy a average grill and nailed down to 2 and I was wondering if you can put them to the test in order for me and others to make a right decision. First one is a cuisinart 5 burner with a appliance grade window and also comes with a smoke tube and griddle from Walmart. Second is members mark pro series 5 burner from Sam's club. Thank you.

I greatly appreciate your grill reviews!! This is new territory for me putting in my first outdoor kitchen, your reviews have helped my research immensely!! I think I am set on the 700 Series and adding the double sear station as I love the quality and warranty of Napoleon. That said, I have flip flopped 17 times already on my choices! I started with Coyote, then moved to Blaze LTE, and now to Napoleon 700. I don’t like the infrared burners inside the grill as I want the grill uniform on the interior for cooking. I saw your “toast test” videos on some of the grills, but wondering about how even the cooking is on the 700 series? Even cooking with good temperature control is hugely important. With all the other built in options, am I making the right choice? Thanks!!

Are you able to do a side by side comparison with the 700 series and a blaze LTE? Or which one you prefer and why? I can't seem to make up my mind between the two. The Blaze not having much vertical height between the grates and the rotisserie spit rod are keeping me from pulling the trigger. The napoleon looks like it has black enameled steel behind the rotisserie burner which leads me to believe it isn't all 304 stainless steel. The cast stainless burners look to be top notch on the Blaze but quite a few people complain that it cooks too hot even on low. Any truth to that? Thanks.

This was my exact struggle. Choosing between Napoleon 700 and Blaze LTE. Chose Napoleon due to Rotisserie setup and the larger warming rack. Blaze burners are nice, but Napoleon has lifetime warranty to help ease any reservations I had about burner quality.

Is the lid on the 700 hard to open relatively speaking? The prestige pro lid was nicely balanced and am wondering if the 700 is similar. For example the 42” dcs series 7 and 42 coyote s series seemed heavier than the mrs would like.

Hi, i´m writing you from Spain, i wacht hours of your videos and i have some questions: Why the built in bbq are expensive than the other barbacues? for example why the built in 500 series cost more than the ROGUE® SE 525 RSIB or the Prestige 500 RSIB if it don´t have the side burner, the back burner, lights and wheels and doors???? I can´t understand it. And another cuestion, in others videos you talk a lot about the cast aluminum cookbox and said that is so important. How it´s posible than the napoleon 700 series or the 500 series don´t have one? why don´t you talk about that in this video? is really important or not? Thank you for your videos

Hmm, the like on the Pro looks a lot higher, which might be a difference maker if you cook a lot of beer can chicken or other tall items like I do. I wonder if both come with the charcoal insert? Not having the interior light is kinda big in my book too. The 700 does look better and looks like it fits better in the cabinet as you demonstrated. Still torn!

I guess I disagree with most. I prefer the look of the 700. More classic, less flashy. Regardless I'm a bit torn. On the one hand, I like the smoker tray of the prestige pro 665. I think that's a pretty classy feature that sets it apart from a lot of grills. But I worry about the longevity of the side panels of the lid due to their non 304 steel. I really like the idea of using the rotisserie on HALF of the grill while cooking other things on the other half (the 700 series size 44 only). But I think that the 38 inch is the sweetspot for not too big, not too small. I also love the fit issue you mentioned and love the rotisserie tray of the 700 series. I don't really care about the loss of the walk up lighting (which I love in my car, but could care less about in my grill) and don't care very much about the loss of the interior lighting. It does make me think they're going to come out with a 700 pro line though. I guess I'm left with 2 questions: 1. is my concern for the longevity of the 665's side panels a valid concern? 2. Is the 700 44's ability to cook on half the grill with the rotisserie and half on the "regular" burners a gimmick? I mean would the infrared on one side cause problems cooking burgers or steak on the other? Also, do you need the liner for any of these if you're dropping them into masonry at least 2 feet from the house (which is also brick)?
@embersliving
@embersliving 3 жыл бұрын
so that was one thing that I failed to mention in the video. The new 700 series offer liners which is super cool. I dont really see much difference with longevity issues either way

It's a shame the rotisserie isn't included. Very unlike napoleon. Personally don't see the appeal of a built in napoleon without the sizzle zone. Thier normal burners are average, and factor in an IR burner upgrade probably lose the price savings.
