If you want to actually hear a funeral March for "Napoleon". Hear Beethoven's 3rd Symphony, funeral March. Beethoven named the symphony 'Bonaparte' in his honour. But was angry and disillusioned when Napoleon declared himself the Emperor. So he literally scratched his name away....

Adolphe Adam was a charming musician, but he didn't have the loftiness, tragedy and panache at the same time, which would suit the figure of Napoleon. It remains good music, sometimes moving. And you have chosen the illustrations well, particularly the one showing Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and the future Edward VII in front of the imperial "relics" gathered at the Invalides, and presented to them by Napoleon III. A few moments earlier, in front of the Emperor's coffin (the crypt had not yet been dug), the Queen had said to her son: "Bow before the great Napoleon!" What revenge on Saint Helena! Thank you for this moment.

@@virginiagobetz9084 I don't know busy making fashion dresses she was a fashion icon in France many called her 19th century Marie antoinette and was busy in that field some consider her a gold digger because she would not listen to his husband or respect the Napoléon the first himself. and spend money on all her lavish parties and dress up parties. She described Napoléon the third like this Napoléon Napoléon Napoléon that's all he talks about how his uncle liberted this place and that place and talking about his Victories I hate that man doesn't he have anything else to talk about always vists his tomb and talks to him the man is long dead France no longer has empire which extends from lisbon to Warsaw.and why should I respect him he inavded my homeland Spain. She really hated him but also loved him but she met the Queen in a night party. She was not all bad she advocated for woman's rights, increased education, purchased a lot of artworks and stored it louvare.
