Napoleonic Ball - Menuet

The Menuet (1810). The menuet was always the first dance at Napoleonic Balls. This Grand Napoleonic Ball was held in Florence on May 22nd 2010 at Villa del Poggio Imperiale, imperial residence of Napoleon's sister, Elisa Baciocchi from 1809 till 1814 while she was Grand Duchess of Tuscany. Presented by the Jane Austen Society Florence and L'Atelier de Danse.

@TheCatJoker Expense, I imagine. Lighting a room entirely with candles means having a supply to last a whole evening, plus people on hand to change them continually, not to mention having to clean away all the wax drippings afterwards (especially tiresome in a hired venue). Not to mention that in this day and age it's probably considered a fire hazard.

The way they enterpret the dance causes it to lack its luster. As if the life of loner noble. They should have placed more colors since minuets have some moves that can be done by hand.

when they separate there are like to pissed off lions awaiting to strike and the gestures are not powerful to convey a message that thrills. The only message that can be noticed is "I see you, wish mother will let me meet you. No offense but Truly The french likes Art.
