Let me tell you ladies. I will soon celebrate 5 years of my natural hair journey. Recently for about 4 months I have started my happiness journey. Happiness makes me eat healthy, excercise, have fun enjoying life. I noticed my afro hair was few inches longer and thicker. People keep giving compliments. I care for my hair i did not change my routine. Happiness not only increased my hair health it also cleared my skin and i lost weight from the excercise.

That's why i always tell my friends. Its called a healthy hair journey coz everyone's journey is different. When people ask me how i grow my 4c hair. Everytime i tell them the simplicity of my hair care they give me the side eye. 🤣

I use hot oil treatments; I use pumpkin seed oil combined with peppermint and rosemary essential oils specifically for scalp application. On the length of my hair I use a blend of Ayurvedic herbs in a coconut oil base- fenugreek, henna, aloe, amla, black tea and dried leaves of peppermint and rosemary. I am also doing weekly protective styles. I must say I am having a fun time 😊!

I did a hot oil scalp massage yesterday using an oil from Allurium Beauty. I think they put every oil in the world in it. But I also make my own. I made an Amla and Rosemary one.

I'm going through a journey trying to get my hair back healthy. I have always believed in hot oil treatments and deep conditioners. I have always noticed my hair grows more with consistent tlc. So I say hell no to not oiling, my hair loves it!

I've been natural all my life, but I was a loose natural up until last year, when I started transitioning to locs. My hair LOVES hot oil treatments! I do them every wash day. That, apart from keeping it moisturised (it's high porosity) and leaving it alone in protective styles helped my hair grow healthy and thick!

What's up Nappy Fu!! I agree, I definitely use Ayurveda like neem, amla, and brahmi powder. Those are done once a month. Every other week I use aloe vera for an hour then wash. As for oil, I do grease my scalp with Sulfur 8 and olive oil. Its been a while on hot oiling. I need to to do that. Thanks for sharing your tips!💕

Your hair looks sooo healthy!!😍😍 I had to realize my 4c hair do notttt like to be touched! I tried alll these products to understand my hair literally only likes Coconut oil. So much money wasted. Wash, conrow, wig it out and I just do a blow out once a year to see the length and its sooo healthy looking .

I’ve done a lot of hot oil treatments. I think my latest was a mix of hibiscus, henna, fenugreek, amla, I’m not sure what was all in there lol, I normally label my mixes but I didn’t that one. I mixed it with avocado oil, peppermint and rosemary essential oils. I’ve never done a hair growth system

I've stopped using oils and butters in my weekly wash routine and hair styling routine. I do a hot oil treatment with coconut oil every now and then... Probably need to be more consistent with it.

I combine hot oil treatments qith my deep conditioning. I heat the oil, add it and massage it in, then apply my DC. I steam it all in, then let it sit for about an hour to cool down. It's been working amazingly well for me and I can see the difference in the hair that's growing from the roots versus the hair that's closer to the ends. I use either fenugreek oil that's infused into almond and olive oil, or my hair growth oil depending on what my hair needs that wash day. I let my infused oils sit for at least 12 weeks before use. They're super potent, so a little goes a long way. I always mix up another batch when I put it into my applicator bottle so by the time I'm empty, I have have some ready to go. I typically infuse about 24 oz at a time, and it'll take 3 to4 months for me to use it up. I also add my infused aloe vera oil and amla to every store bought DC I use no matter if it's for strengthening or moisturizing. It's been working for me. I have fine strands, normal density, 3C/4A hair. The 4A is mostly in the crown section of my head and I'm 3C everywhere else. I hope this helps someone else. ❤❤❤

I used to do hot oil treatments all the time. But I stopped. I alternated between plain coconut oil and a diy Ayurvedic oil (coconut oil infused with fenugreek, Amla and essential oils). They were amazing I just don’t have the time now. Never used a hair growth system though.

The best hair growth system I’ve used, was making sure my body stays hormonally balanced. Growing up/ living with a few circulatory/ autoimmune diseases, it is important to know your levels and healthy simplistic ways to incorporate them. Sometimes doing too much, doesn’t allow the body to respond to the change. So taking your time, and fully understanding the changes… is the best thing

Yaaaasssss Nappyfu!!!!! I'm here for the sponsorships! Get that bag! Also Contour is so cute! Coils and kinks poppin! I make my own oils! I use ayurvedic herb powders and infuse the oils I use (Avocado oil, Olive Oil, JBCO, Peppermint Oil and Jojoba Oil) in those. I infuse it for about a month or so. I got inspiration from Sherea Delsol, so if anyone is interested in some great DIY, check out her channel! I used Flavor of Amya's Chebe Oil and Chebe Butter the second half of last year and I saw so much length retention! I've wanted to try ChebeUSA and Uhuru Naturals for a while so I'm happy to see them in your video!

I love those products but unfortunately I cannot use anything with chebe or amla because I am grey and it stains my hair. But it really works. My hair grew so long with alma & chebe but it stained my hair & I had to do a big chop. I wish it would come out with a grey/salt and pepper girl friendly system.

I have a medium density high porosity 4c hair.I don't know who?? came up with this whole no oil/butter shenanigans 🤦🏾♀️.I swear our natural hair community we do too much sometimes. I will do what works for my hair and it definitely cannot flourish without oil and butter . Gotta seal that moisture. If no oil blah blah works for you? you do you but Do Not impose that cult on others please..some of these influencers I swear 😤 . I will stick with my girl Nappy Fu, Curl Chemistry and a few others to save my life.

I use oils. My number one oil is castor oil, both regular and JBCO. I also purchase Ayurvedic oils from Tattva's Herbs and Banyan Botanicals that I use for hair, skin, and scalp (oils and oil mixes with Brahmi, Bhringraj, Amla, and Sesame). I also use Black Seed oil ,sometimes, and only for the scalp.

I was using coconut oil to pre-poo. But, I realized that my hair was so hard and dry afterward even after deep conditioning. So I stopped the oil pre-poo with coconut oil and started using olive oil once a month as a hot oil treatment and my hair loves it. I use the Green Beauty oil in between wash days to oil the hair and scalp with a massage. So far so good 😊
