Probably the only drummer that I go out of my way to find and watch on uTube. I don't know why or what it is, but I just love listening to her play the drums. Always spot on and always makes the band sound great.

It is the YOYOKA effect, or the X factor. I have been 100% hooked for years. It just makes me happy. I met her last year in LV and you would never believe she is this beast on the drums.

Go out of your way to watch Senri Kawaguchi. She makes Yoyoka look very average, which as pro drummers go, she is very "average". Senri is really, really special! Enjoy!

Several months back Yoyoka was interviewed on KRON4 in the Bay Area. The video can be found on KZbin. During the interview she said that the U.S. provided for her better opportunities to play with a larger pool of musicians of different genres than was available in Japan. This video demonstrates how she wasted no time taking on the challenge of blossoming within these genres. I have no doubt, Yoyoka, that moving from Japan and moving to the U.S. was a huge leap of faith and sacrifice for your family and you to make. America will allow you the opportunities to tap into that richly varied pool of professionals. Flourish in school and stay grounded. There are universities with premier music conservatories that'll give you a full-ride scholarship in a second.

I'm not sure if universities have much to teach her... Maybe she should apply for teaching positions 😂

Now Yoyoka has arrived in the sphere of G.O.A.T.S. Playing in front of the master(s) with such fun and proficiency is truly spectacular! She´s outright killing it, sheesh! Loving her kit ;-) I own the LP since the late 70s and it´s one of my most loved ones (as Jeff Beck always is prly my most loved guitarist R.I.P - missing him). Great musicians on stage too, loving the guitar player, pretty close to JB but doing his thing. Thank you guys for sharing!!!

Can tell that this is one of the hardest songs she has tried to play. This is part of my era so been listening to to the boots for a long long time since it came out. The elite Fusion is what she should try to be focusing on cuz it is much more difficult than any rock and roll

Fantastic video with great close-ups of YOYOKA just killing it. YOYOKA always excels when surrounded by high-level pro musicians. I have never seen her outmatched in all the videos I have watched of her playing live. She is so comfortable and relaxed, regardless of whose kit she is sitting at or who she is playing with. The only flaw in this video is it needs to have the fabulous introduction of YOYOKA by Narada and the talk by YOYOKA at the end. Check out this if you have not already: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5OwioaNoa-YZpo
