Naraku hate his fate because he could not get Kikyo heart thus he will to destroy everything include Inuyasha and Kikyo but he could not forgot Kikyo from his heart. He want Kikyo heart only but pity this thing was be to Inuyasha's only.

I admit that I used to ship these 2 together. I would have liked both Naraku and Kikyo to survive and getting together in the end. Of course with Naraku becoming good! But it was almost impossible because it would have been too much a happy ending and Inuyasha isn't a shoujo manga...

My favorite characters in Inuyasha are Kikyo and shesshomaru-sama I didn’t like inuyasha and I hated kagome. When I was younger I never thought about shipping kikyo and naraku but now that more than 12 years have passed I think at least naraku didn’t fall in love with kagome like inuyasha did. His love was twisted I know but it was a forever love I guess

Bé mầm 2k20 I guess is because I’ve been reading many Chinese novels such as cannon fodder’s record of counterattacks and many of the same genre and found out how female leads aura are really annoying. I hated Kagome not because of the character but what it represents. A female lead that shines because of the demise/support of the second female lead. It is unjust to me.

@@samyvanegas true, I hate also how the creator made her not strong. I could understand at the beginning, but later on why does she have to be the one to be protected always. It will be better if they made her stronger to defend herself rather than waiting hopelessly for Inuyasha

@@samyvanegas I've also read lots and lots of those type of Chinese Novels such as Quick Wear Counter-Attacks and it affected me so much of how I interpret hero and heroines of the story. I don't like that supporting roles had to have a tragic end just to highlight the protagonists. I even prefer villains, at least they stay true and loyal to their only love till the end. I hope in another time and space, Kikyo didn't loved Inuyasha. Naraku and Kikyo get to be together happily forever across different worlds.

Kagome is arguably the strongest character in the series; she just doesn't have any spiritual training or combat know-how like all the others, which is an unfair disadvantage the writer gave her; purposefully of course. Even so, the Shikon jewel feared her and sealed her true potential. Why would the jewel care about her if she was so weak? The moment Magatsuhi was defeated, you could see Kagome's true powers - she purified that cloud of miasma within Naraku's body by just existing. She also purified his entire body and the surrounding miasma when it was about to destroy the village, along with the sacred jewel - WITH ONLY ONE ARROW. Even Kikyo could never manage that, even when she was alive. Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru could only cut up Naraku over and over at their best. And people still call her weak? Biased, if you ask me. Even the almighty Kikyo had an inkling of how powerful Kagome was, which is why she entrusts her with various tasks and even mocks Tsubaki, asking her to not take Kagome lightly. Kikyo was strict with Kagome, but only so that she could harness her true potential. Kagome is Kagome and nobody else. She is her own person and doesn't have to live under anyone's shadow.

naraku is smarter and stronger than inuyasha, inuyasha gets outwitted every time even when naraku was about to kill kikyo for the last time, inuyasha got a "bad feeling" only after it already happened

I think everyone knows this but I'm kind of surprised people ship Naraku & Kikyo. Naraku doesn't live Kikyo, neither did Onigumo for that matter, Onigumo lusted after Kikyo & was obsessed with her & this obsession carries over into Naraku. Naraku wanted the Shikon Jewel so that he could help purge that part of himself, which is why we see time & time again if him discarding his "heart"
