Thats why I love Inarritu a lot, he is a true artist!

How the heck does he get the shot to feel like a one-shot take? Brilliant.
@CristianMercadoProductions10 жыл бұрын
You can see how Iñárritu was experimenting with the long take in this. It's even more seamless in this compared to Birdman.

for everyone saying this is boring and they don't get it, remember as it says in the description lol, this was not a film for mass consumption, it was for the L.A. dance project, if you're not a fan of interpretive dance or not of that culture (like myself), then we're not going to see it the same way we see a film like birdman or transformers for that matter - but surely you can appreciate the cinematography and skill that went into this project.

I saw it as people walking alone, looking back and seeing not another person, or themselves (literal) but having "thoughts"... they were walking and being "thoughtful"... you know when a times one "looks back" and feels something, or thinks about their life as they walk... the dance part, the people who show up later (whether it's themselves, or other people) is a representation of life experiences, life, memories, other people... ... not literately seeing other people. Strange but beautiful...

thought i share my interpretation: film presents the day of human live focusing on social relations. Film ---> Reality 1. People constantly comming out of bush to same place ---> People comming to same jobs, homes, etc. everyday. 2. New people appearing --> new people we meet in live 3. Dance of individual --> activities, personality of individual 4. Pair/group dance---> social aspect of live: interaction with other people in activities, common moments What oranges could mean?

Interesting how it seems to be presented as a new art form. If you like this you would probably like the video-dance world.

Any ideas how he achieved the coming out of the bushes loop? I can't seem to find a cut when the camera pans back to the bushes. So are we dealing with triplets here or what?
@costaseleftheriadis64499 жыл бұрын
Jordan Allen there is no cut on this movie. the the actors/dancers running behind the camera at the panning of camera. the pan is much slower and they fast forward it on post.

@TheFatNinjaGroup8 жыл бұрын

I wish people that don't understand or appreciate different styles of art would just keep their negative opinions to theirselves. No one is forcing you to watch so just don't say anything if you can't say anything nice!!! I think it's very beautiful although it's different. But if everything was exactly the same it would be a really boring world. And let's face it at least they r expressing themselves in a decent manner. So shut up if ur going to put it down!!!!!!!!!

if it was for a dance competition, it could have been way more sophisticated than this. for an experienced filmmaker to release this on his resume...its embarrassing how bad this is. there's nothing to even read into here, it was terrible.
