Fun fact: Khajiit goal was trying to become an undead so that he could resurrect his dead mother who he loved the most. But ultimately couldn’t since normal people bodies can’t handle resurrection magic. I was surprised when i read about his backstory. Overlord world building is great.

The thing I like about Overlord is that we learn a lot about the backstories of every character Ainz faces directly and indirectly. Even if it’s just a paragraph seconds before or after their death like an afterthought. They are more than side characters, the author made sure we knew they were living and breathing characters with dreams and ambition; however they are specks of dust in the face of the void which is Ainz and his loyal servants

The death of King Zanac comes to mind with how disgusted and enraged Ainz was from seeing him get betrayed by his own men. Probably one of my favourite scenes in the anime so far.

@@RetroCube The thing I love most about Zanac is how when we first meet him he comes across as so greedy and scheming and slimey. He's even fat and not particularly attractive looking. The more we get to know him, the more he starts coming across as better and better, doubled with the fact that his older brother was a dumbass who would have made for a terrible king, and his sister being a fucking psychopath it makes you go "...oh, yeah, no HE needs to be king after his dad abdicates/dies". And he knows it. Its not greed, its intelligence knowing he's not just the best man for the job and the kingdom he loves will go to shit if any of his siblings become the ruler (not that his sister was aiming for the throne, just saying that in theory she IS in line if something happened to both brothers) He schemes because his brother has the succession rights being the oldest so he has to do shit in the background. Its not being slimey, he's just the only sane, competent member of the royal family. And, at the end, regardless of his weight and looks...he was the biggest giga chad in the history of that world. That characterization is absolutely insane

@@dannywang4543 Well the whole deal about npc's when the game was still active was that you had a set amount of dedicated levels that you could issue out to npcs as you see fit. You could have hundreds of npcs at lvl1 or you could invest in stronger ones. The maids are just a tier above the 'pop' enemies that the guild spawns naturally without any strain on Nazaricks resources. Literally anything from skeletons to liches (a mob that can be spawned with gold) is pretty low tier. Theres the various servants to each floor guardian (Demiurge's demons, Shalltear's brides, etc) the eight blade assassins, the deadly chandeliers (which im still excited to see them used) then theres the sub floor guardians, Seb who is the leader of the battle maids, a few select npcs (only leveled for specialized tasks), the floor guardians and then the players themselves.

Like Narberal casually teleporting behind him to stab him in the back, just to prove that she could have ended him any time she wanted and that she was merely playing around. Narberal is a doppelganger specialized in attack magic, Yuri is a dullahan specialized in hand to hand combat, she has levels of Monk and barbarian if I remember correctly. The pleiades are supposed to fight as a group: - Frontline: Yuri, Solution and Aureole. Their role is to fight in close quarters. - Backline: Narberal and CZ. Their role is to destroy any window of opportunity the opponent may have for attack or withdrawal - Support: Lupusregina and Entoma. Their role is to support the other 2 groups, either with healing or joining them, since both Lupus and Entoma are fully capable of fighting at a distance or hand to hand.

Not many of the New Worlders were able to achieve this title, as the bar is set at the level 30-35 (of Yggdrasil standards). The only other Blue Roses member that could be considered as very potent is Lakyus, who is able to use the 5th tier resurrection magic. But you must also consider that Evileye is the perfect counter for Entoma with her anti-insect magic. She is the worst possible match-up for Entoma.

Also, she has managed to defeat Entoma, yes, but only because she has a spell that counters entoma and Entoma is not good at 1v1 and even then, she only won because the other two members distracted entoma, if it was a 1v1 EvilEye would have been killed. Oh and despite defeating Entoma, the three of them exausted their potions and curatives, so they barely won.
