This was such a shocking realization for me. He mirrored my personality from the very start and I thought we were the same. He pretended to have my values and to be as altruistic, spiritual, driven and selfreflecting as I am, but at the same time he diminished me and made me feel so worthless and undervalued. He wanted to be me and despised me at the same time. It took me 14 years to realize he was nothing like me and that he doesn't even have an identity. That's why he tried to steal mine. Then I stupidly went ahead and married him at age 19 because didn't want to hurt his feelings. Yes I believe thats correct. They actually do that kind of stuff. I have so much disgust for people like this. Because they’re Fake. Yeah, makes me very authentic automatically. In some way… But before that said, yes… very authentic. But i def have some struggles lately. Which sometimes thought of as narcicism but its quite a bit different. I have in my weakest moments of retardation sometimes thought that maybe I was a narc. Only because i have been misbehaving to certain people who destroyed my thrust and feeling very guilty and sad about this, and that they did. So that had me little bit insecure for some times. I am very very confident - really, know my challenges and you are likely to have Respect- anyway not important 😅 I was normally very very sweet type of Person. Without being anything of a Pussy. Got both qualities strong. But I knew a guy who act this way and did so much verbally Punish him. To help him correct himself. He had lot of Respect for me and really seemed to improve.

So things got out, but in process i got very much affected because i wass very aware energy very big and sensitive I became more like him and he so blessed to become more real like me This was SUCH A BURDEN it feels like im STILL recovering from this!

I couldn't recognize myself at all in the end so I told him that "This is not me. When I interact with you I become a person I don't like so I will have to leave you to save myself." Counterwise he told me (in an attempt to hoover me back) that I made him a better man and I know I did in some sense but it was all fake.

Over the DECADES i've actually told my narc husband - admittedly during his never ending childish corkscrew argument meltdowns - that he's jealous because I'm a DNA certified female but he isn't and can never be one. I do think there's also a layer in there where narc males try forcing their wives/partners to be their mothers, while also treating us like we're their sisters instead of wives/partners with intimate/marital relationship & co-parenting partner expectations.

This is so true. My narcissist ex bf, who browbeat my entire 250k inhertiance out of me in under 10 montsh, on paper looks like a red blooded and masculine man. But he wants to be a woman inside and also likes men secretly. He spend over 10k on skin and hair treatments on himself wiht my inheritance. I used to be a pretty lady who would get compliments on the street. From men and women, young and old. It would drive him nuts. He would even tell me i had wrinkles at 24 an dhe was so much better looking! So years of this and im beaten and broken down and no longer fele feminine inside or out. Meanwhile people tell him how he looks 20 years younger than his age. Tells him he is a young Elvis Presely but with muscle. Your videos help but it is so hard to deal with when he is here all the time! Makes xxx,xxx in his job from home. Lawyering is actual not a hard a job if you;re a trademark attorney!

Aha …that explains why he could knit, and darn socks! He told me he learned during his time in the Navy. He also often chose feminine details in his clothing for special events … like pastel coloured frilled front shirts with his tuxedos or evening suits. Other men thought it odd. I just thought he was eccentric, on top of being cruel, cold, and a pathological liar. After I left him I learned about sociopaths, and thought that he was one, but I now know he was a raging narcissist.

Ive been watching this man speak about this for years now and without him i would've never survived this far thinking something was wrong with me or in a mental home....i have 3 babies and married to one and he is EXACTLY like you're speaking...it has happened to me, he took EVERYTHING from me and I'm just scared on how to get out.....he acts like he is the mother and dad of of kids he even acts as if he has breasts with my baby i used to breastfeed...he breaks the bond i had with my babies by taking them before they're weaned... took my car....home... etc.....and makes me be silent all day without any communication or affection and will yell at me if i try to ask for attention if he didn't offer it, wont acknowledge me as his wife because i caught him cheating with a girl he met on markplace Facebook pretending he was interested in a pair of shoes for our kids just so he could pick up new supply. He says were only together when he wants...im just trying to figure out how to get myself back...

I have a person in my life who has all the traits of narcissism and who does this - dresses like a woman, pretends to be a woman, takes on stereotypical female gestures. The trouble is this person also has lots of appealing character traits (& I don't mean just superficial charm that they use to attract others although they have that too) & I'm torn between wanting to run away from them when they do these narcissistic things & wanting to stay and hoping there is some way for a person to cure or at least lessen their narcissistic traits. I've heard some people say narcissism might be a spectrum so perhaps some people are just mildly that way.

I am really shocked by my experience with this covert narc husband. After 20 years together, he came out of the closet telling me he cheated with transgenders in all our marriage. Then, he applied his gaslithing technique and said that I shouldn't feel inconsolable about that because that cheating wasn't with women. This is just describing a standard narc behaviour called “Character Trait Acquisition”. They mirror all their targets in the beginning, but because they have so little sense of self, they take a bit of the personalities of all they get close to. It’s not that they necessarily want to be women 🙄 But they will take on some of your mannerisms, speech style, hell they’ll take your best stories & anecdotes and retell them as their own!! They are nothing more than empty vessels, and it’s why they almost date people who are better than them, punching above their weight, so as to suck them dry of their best qualities (and money & possessions) and “better themselves”.
