Personally, I think the older seasons were better with direction, quality, comedy, and appealing all audiences, but I'll admit the newer seasons do have their moments. My problem with the new seasons is that the episodes are either really good, or REALLY bad (and I mean that in all kind of levels). I don't think the newer seasons would ever touch the original three, but as long as you pick at least acceptable episodes for the newer seasons like these, I'll be happy to watch. Personally I don't like that people separate new and old spongebob when referring to quality. Yes obviously the older episodes are classic and hilarious, that doesn't mean all the newer episodes are bad This is one of the best episodes of the show honestly. Some may say it overuses the gag, but personally I think they managed to turn it into an episode very well without it really wearing out it's welcome.

I can understand how some people might say they overdid the joke in this episode, but for me, I felt like they were really creative with the plot and all the leg jokes. Just like Sailor Mouth, it felt like they ran with one joke and did everything they could with it super well. Most of the jokes landed for me and the amount of fan service sprinkled throughout was just the cherry on top. Definitely one of my favorite Spongebob episodes of the modern era.
