Don't you find it strange that everyone are happy in the room despite the fact that the Tattletale Strangler is there in plain sight. I have a little theory about this... What if... the people of Bikini Bottom got the idea from Spongebob's obliviousness and the Strangler's struggle would give them a chance to make him snap? After every tough guy ran away after SpongeBob asked for help to defend him from the Strangler, that must've had spread word to everyone in Bikini Bottom and must've been concerned for him and wanted to help somehow. But because they are scared of him, they couldn't go near him without a 100 foot pole. They must have seen SpongeBob falling for an obvious disguise and thinking: "Oh no! He's going to be strangled!" But as they continued to watch SpongeBob and the Strangler together and witnessed how he was able to get on his nerves. Not to mention, getting hurt from the CLEETS. This showed a weak point for the people to strike back. Think about it, everyone didn't budged or looked scared during all those times they threw a "party." And whenever the Strangler is an itch close to strangle SpongeBob, they quickly run in and threw another party as if nothing happened. I believe they were hiding somewhere in the house watching to make sure SpongeBob didn't get strangled and kept a straight face while pretending they don't know the Strangler's there.
