Allegedly Miles Davis titled it making fun of Bill Evans saying “I’m an artist” in his accent.

Miles has taken credit for it, but there's no good evidence he actually wrote it, it's way more likely that Bill Evans did.

@David34981 Bill Evans, introducing Nardis said, "This is a song written by Miles Davis for a Cannonball Adderley session I was playing on. This was the first time it was recorded. After that I recorded it and have been playing it ever since." This video is on you tube, one of his later performances.
