Oh my gosh, THIS was after she punched Kathleen Hanna! Listen, I love them both. I graduated from the same college as Kathleen, got my AA and lived in Aberdeen for years, auditioned as an extra for the Last Days movie where 2 of my best friends (the Friberg twins) actually got speaking roles as 2 Mormons who show up at Kurt's house (hilarious), I used to hang out all the time under the ACTUAL bridge Kurt lived under and wrote about in Something in the Way, and grew up in Raymond, WA, which is where Nirvana played their first EVER gig, at a house party. So, I have a really close and loving relationship with the Grays/King County music scenes. I lived in Portland until just after kindergarten, and my older brother would spend hours playing excellent music with me, and he'd have me sing Metallica, Sabaath, and Nirvana songs for his friends for amusement. I distinctly remember when he got his Nevermind tape, and would listen to the whole album over and over. I had no idea that one day, I would become enmeshed in the same places, with the same friends, as some of my favorite musicians in the world. I've also met Krist Novaselic on 2 separate occasions, where I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. It's nuts.
