The Nard knows how to appeal to most people, he doesn't talk generic bull shit, or gossip, he goes back in time and lets the artist know he knows shit about them that nost people or interviewers dont. Pkus he bring gifts for them. After being bombarded with nostalgic moments or inspiration, from the past its not to find the Nard sincere and endearing. He's the man! To be interviewed by the Nard is the equivalent to being on SNL, David Letterman. Its something special! Doo doodle doo doo....Bang Bang!

Right out of the gates the way Nardwuar props that Mr T cassette up is pretty incredible. Ice-T definitely wasn't going to uncross his arms to grab the tape, and Nardwuar definitely wasn't going to keep holding onto it. Neither of them had to compromise their identities in any way, a win-win. When it comes to humanity, this is ideal.

There is a special atmosphere that comes off from Nard's hip hop interviews, especially the ones with 80's cats. A lot of the old school artists have a really deep reverence for and knowledge of the culture and music they grew up with. They don't really broadcast it that much publicly thp cause a lot of old school hip hop is viewed as "corny" by modern audiences who are more familiar with the really aggressive and standoff-ish nature of 90's and 00's hh. But Nard always pulls out shit like Spoonie Gee, Kool Moe Dee, Blowfly, Schoolly D, Davy DMX, Lovebug Starski, Busy Bee, and all these breakbeats that were popular back in the late 70s and that's when they light up and you can feel them kind of melt back into a time when they were just a bunch of kids playing out on the street, b-boying and buying records.
