Good explanation.but here i have one doubt. As you told we should use sequence on primary key column. But when we use cycle option on primary key value column, then the values shouldn't be insert into the primary key column since duplicate values generated(Repeated values generated)

Meaning of his statement is if you create a sequence on column then it works like unique primary key column. U can't insert duplicate record in primary key column. See the table structure of student table... He has not mentioned any primary key for SNO column. So u can definitely insert duplicate record from sequence as well. But if u make SNO as primary key then you can't insert duplicate record by sequence or anything. Hope your query fulfilled. ☺

he did not declare the column to be a primary key, therefor duplicate values got inserted.

Sequence is used to generate primary key values right ? And primary key should not allow duplicate values right but why values are repeating ,is that make sence ? Yes I got it but because of cycle values are repeating,but as per the sentence of primary key ,should not allow duplicate values ,could you please answer any one to this question ....Thank you
