I was the hunter that spawned in at 15:05. It put me all the way down right by the elevator, so even with all that crazy amount of stalling from the host I still would've needed another 5 minutes to run all the way up there. Seeing what was going on for all that time I was just running is really funny though.

I dunno if a host I got summoned by was cheating, got to a weird spot with torrent or if you just spawn in stupid places in general, but one time I got summoned by the Giant Jar in Caelid, while the host was all the way near the Smoldering Church. Now that's not just stupid distance wise, but I'd have to run all the way to the Swamp of Aeonia, U-turn back up north and then go west for a bit longer, making the trip 2-3 times longer than if it was just straight forward. I think I could be forgiven for just leaving, because no way was I gonna find that invader.

Duel meta is definitely boring at the moment. Lower level invasions is a lot more fun since the worst meta weapon you're likely to encounter is just moonveil.

Hey Scoot, possible to get a breakdown on the route you take to stand up new characters quickly for invasions? Torrent > Caelid > Bleed weapon for Greyoll etc; there are a few videos out there but I feel like they take 20 minutes to tell us what you could in five.

Aside from that, night time at the rise tower between dragonbarrow and greyoll, nearby bridge has a night cavalry, lead him up the hill with poison and dont look back, free 42k Nearby boulder gets you 2k per run without combat, nearby spiritspring gets u 14k runes from graves and memory stone in tower. After that, dragonbarrow as much as you need :)

Thats pretty accurate actually. Radagon's Soreseal is 5 feet away from Greyoll, +5 STR talisman is also right in Caelid. I pick up all the Sacred Tears in Weeping Peninsula (3) and then rush to Altus via the lift to get 8 additional golden seeds. I also go to the Sealed Tunnel in Altus for the Smithing Bell. Thats about it. Takes like 2 hours.

Low level invasions have been the best PvP I've found in ER so far. I've been having a blast at L59 with +10/4. I've been able to find instant invades pretty much everywhere minus Volcano and beyond the Capital Elevator. It seems like a good sweet spot because Iji sells Somber Stones up to +4 shortly after Storm Hill Castle. Hunters have been incredibly active at that range as well. The Slumbering City below Mistwood has been my favorite so far though, lots of mean enemies to help you out if you want to cause chaos. Although I don't know if that zone would agree with your Fire weapons lol.

Easy cheese for the Jar talisman: There is a particular tree/branch (people even have a message on it now to identify) you can jump on, and stand there while 2-handing (not totally confirmed but I do as they say just cuz) a great shield , like the Spiked Palisade Shield you get right on the way to the giant jar boy, it sorta breaks their AI and they just go off the edge the tree branch thingy is under. Works like a charm for me on low level builds that need the jar talisman

I'm glad you've kind of noticed the big issue with making Invasions target only 2+v1/Dried Finger instead of Humanity/Ember: It boils down every single fight into a sealclubbing against a VIGlet, especially in the open world, with the occasional ganksquad. A competent player has no reason to engage with the multiplayer mechanics, or only need to summon at a fog gate; who needs Cooperators when Torrent trivializes almost every world boss in the game? Meanwhile novice players trying to play with friends or that need help with legacy dungeons and world bosses are the exclusive target of Invaders that have no covenants or invasion mechanics to play with, the only incentive is to go out there and ruin their day for pocket change. Would it have been that hard to give players an unlimited "Rune-Arc-But-You're-Exposed-To-Invasion" item for the sake of opting in or something?

Have you tried out the basic Iron Cleaver? Thing has pretty standard r1s but the r2s are basically a quick running attack that you can charge for more distance and is easier to turn.

I see a lot of invaders crying about how difficult invasions have been, I've been invading from level 15-60 range since the game came out, and from 120-150, and the higher you go, sure, the harder they get, but it also matters where you're invading, and what kind of tactics you use. 15-60 though so far still just feels like noob-crushing.

For anyone having trouble cheesing Great Jar's Arsenal on new saves or main, you can go offline to prevent the invaders rotating; then hop on the far tree branch to the right while going up the hill, making sure to have the vertical branch behind you, and block (with a phys 100 shield preferably), they'll run off, or try and jump attack off the ledge, breaking your guard and staggering, while they die. The mage you can fight legit in the 1v1, or block with shield and flask up until they approach the cliff eventually, then knock them off. I know most people know about how to cheese it once they look it up, but have seen comments asking how to survive it, so thought I'd put it out there again.

20:20 i run off into the level and hide, but i dont afk. People have different patience levels, all you have to do is outwait the most impatient. Theyre bound to make mistakes, and making them watch you teabag their corpses after wasting 15 minutes of their time with hit and run is cathartic af. I have a great nights sleep when i spank a dedicated squad or crush a hacker before bed.

preach my man, a good tip for people that want to do this out of spite is to have a good game to play on a second monitor, or if you're like me and don't have one you can also minimize er and play something windowed while you keep the compass in check, if they move just tab in again. did this to people that camp in the bonfire at sellia tunnel, like, its a minuscule amount of time to get runes back, is it that much of a problem if someone beats you at the game?

I used to do this to script kiddies in ds1 township. If you could slip by them there were so many little corners of the level you could hide in, and if you hide next to a ledge you've got decent odds of kicking them off if they find you.

Note, in caelid and the host is in the giant chasm you can’t access, if you use the phantom bloody fingers that you get for free while you are an invasion spirit, it will warp you near the same host, so you can get closer to them.

the low level invasion experience (20-50) is like this, lots of invasions, the hardest ones are due to experienced phantoms, idk how people say that invasions are that hard. High level pvp on the other hand is very unfun rn imo, its a very oneshoty experience, also littered with finger shields an rob, good lord... On another note how do you guys feel about phantom downscaling? Sometimes at lv 20 i hit peole and do 10% of their hp but they outpoise me and hit taking out 70% of my health, it feels really bad.

I'm going to preface this by saying it hasn't been a HUGE issue. With an optimized build at 59 with +10/4 weapons, I'm not feeling at a horrible disadvantage. This is mostly because people are running PvE stuff and not prepared to kill players, unlike myself as invader. The outliers being the over-leveled arcane bleed builds or high int Moonveil sorcerers. Even with 40 vigor sometimes I just pop. It's a difficult balance, but IMHO the biggest issue with the phantom balance is that you cannot take away their Mind and Endurance levels. So often you have people with high poise armors medium rolling as well as an FP pool twice the size of someone at the level of the host. So unfortunately they just have way more of a resource budget than their host or the invader. They can chase you longer than you can sprint, or roll away longer, cast more spells or weapon arts. Their flasks become more efficient simply because they are filling a larger tank, but with none of the downsides of having to get those numbers, since they can also wield their high requirement weapons and benefit from the scaling.

@@taculo3231 Yeah I'm only ever invading to cause chaos lol. The benefit of some of these constant co-op partners is that the host gets lazy with their HP scaling since their friends do a lot of the heavy lifting. I've had a surprising amount of 600 damage one shots on hosts.
