Saw Xiu Xiu in Finland touring Fabulous Muscles. After I saw him sitting alone at the venue bar. He looked grumpy. Drunk me went to shook his hand and thank him for the amazing gig and their music. He looked surprised, gave me a firm handshake, a warm smile and a thank you back.

Man, Jamie is so cool. Always a great surprise when someone who makes crazy art is also smart and genuine.

Ehi man, that was a great talk! As dumb as I am I can't understand who is that "edgy" singer you're talking about around minute 10, english is not my first language and I can't even get the title of the songs Jamie named. Can help? Thank you!

So you’re just gonna casually gloss over the fact that apparently Jamie Stewart played with Prurient and Michael Gira? Just not gonna get into that at all? This is mind blowing to me
@Bartholomew_Musgrave Жыл бұрын
I enjoyed the conversation, but must say that it’s excruciating to hear Stewart squirm over Morrissey’s work when he has been quite happy to cite Peter Sotos as an influence. There is some very confused morality at play there. Much of Stewart’s attitude to the power dynamics of sex would be clarified by asking him about his relationship to Sotos.

Yeah. In the context of the bands charlie has been in (all of which I love) it felt xtra wack. Also they went on to be like "oh yeah i liked everyone on that tour... except for the ladies"

@@postearth9145 is Charlie "non-binary" or are you assigning that pronoun to him? His voice kinda comes off as gay to me, so when he said "except for the ladies" it made me think it was a joke referencing his preference for other dudes *shrug*
