Man what a beautiful area, glad no one was hurt you both did everything you could to avoid the collision in a tight trail, reminds me of a poker run at Mount Baldy their was a section of two way traffic was amazed no one was hurt

I remember that Poker run, that was just plain stupid, should never be two way traffic on a Poker ride with tight trails...scary! Thanks John!

That was a pucker moment for sure ! We used to run on the hiwy all the time but we did it at 80-85 kph and it was a blast !!!

Those types of tight trails are awesome to blast down, but yeah.. that's probably the best outcome for a collision like that. I came from ATV's into a fast SXS so I think that always plays in my mind of what damage I could do to a rider on top of a ATV. Really nice looking lakes in that video.
@RobFarrowATV2 ай бұрын
Ya, SXS would have been much worse, easy to travel fast in one of those. Thanks Man!

Great job Rob Ya let go of the brakes last sec and attempted straighten out before impact. Most ppl who can’t drive just freeze up and hold the brakes. My aunt lost 2 L blood and helivac to bracebridge from side swipe action like that. Glad everyone ok 👍

Those are some nice trails, kinda miss my trips to TB for work. NW Ontario is sure beautiful. That bridge was sketchy, haha. I don't think I could have passed that. Infact, I know I couldn't. I had a hard time even watching, lol. That was a rough hit, could've been worse. Been there, it sucks. Glad everyone was OK. Thanks for sharing!

Glad to see that nobody got hurt. I try to avoid those railbeds as much as I can because of what I just saw. I hate to see what would of happened if one of those SxS's where out in front. Nice scenic ride though.. 👍

Thanks Todd! Wouldn't have been very good ending with a SXS out front.

We've all had our share of OSHIT moments. My last one put me in the hospital and took 5 months to recover. Didn't look like you hit hard enough to do so much mechanical damage. Glad it wasn't worse.

Nice area to ride in Rob, sucks with sidewall damage but it could have been much worse for both, not sure how deep of cut, couple ply's should be ok to still use until winter before you mount the plow. Anyway no one was hurt and taking the rhubarb is a choice as a last resort. Cheers and take care.

That bridge by McCollum's is the only one on the line that has the barriers still in place. What you were running beside that you called a lake is the southern end of Orient Bay. Orient Bay Station just to the north is the dividing line between Orient Bay and Pijitawabik Bay.
@RobFarrowATV2 ай бұрын
Interesting, thanks! Was hoping to get up past that section and check out some of the stuff you found along that line. Maybe some other time.
@padwrr2 ай бұрын
@@RobFarrowATV No problem. Best place to get back on the grade is by Orient Bay Station a couple miles to the north. There is rest stop area that you could park at and the grade is right there. From that spot you can go all the way to Beardmore and even up to Jellicoe.

Glad the outcome wasn't worse. Hope the repairs/replace wasn't too pricey ! I really don't think there was anything more that could have been done. I think it was handled as best as it could have been. I guess when life throws a shit sandwich at you, a quick side-step is the best on-the-fly reaction. Have to wonder if headlights on (on both machines) would have given you one more second of time to see oncoming and react to it. I can't see the front of your machine (well, a brief glimpse afterward), but the oncoming did not have headlights (or daytime running lights, lol) on. Normally, I'm not a big pusher of running lights at all times, but I guess situations like this, it might help, or at least it couldn't make it any worse.
@RobFarrowATVАй бұрын
Thanks Stan! Ya, everything was fixed easily. Don't think headlights would have made a difference. Shit happens, fortunately it wasn't bad.

New subscriber here love outdoors videos and wasn't long before I was hitting the notifications bell so I won't miss future videos. Ride was going great until o sh1t , good reactions were great by both saved any serious damage and prevented injuries. Main thing no one was hurt. Id be ticked off with Mark too sounds like its a common action ? Thanks for taking us along hope you have an awesome weekend

Rob even though it is a nice trail ride and both were at fault it happens a lot more then you would think. I can't lie I have been there done that many times and you would think after the first 40 times I would learn but I am a slow learner. My ATV could do 75 MPH easy and I loved opening it up. One day I was on a trail then was hardly ever used and knowing not many around had ATV's I was going for it. I came around a corner and in a split second that felt like it was in super slow motion I saw 2 girls both with long blonde hair no helmet. I knew I had to do the right thing even if it kills me so I took to the woods. I didn't have a helmet as well and well I didn't know their was a drop off . I was crashing through the woods back in super slow motion saw the drop off and mailed. As I jumped off the ATV A widow maker that was almost down caught me and stopped me from going over. Oh the Pain from the stop. The impact was something I can still hear in my head and remember like it happen 2 hours ago. The ATV however did a lot better then I did. Broke nothing and it got scratches. Thinking by now the girls left me for dead. Only because I was laying on the ground for about 20 minutes. When I got up I went to check on my Polaris. I don't know how it shut off on it's own and I wasn't sure how I was going to get it back up the hill. I went up with hopes I could find a way to get it up and there was the two girls crying. I thought I hurt them and didn't know it and I said are you girls alright? They screamed. I panicked and then a girl said we thought you might have been dead. I said close. I said I am ok but my ATV is way down the hill. The girls then said is it all the way down. I said no then they asked is it running? I said I think so just scratched up. They then said get it down the rest of the way and then take the trail it will bring you back here. I was like what they are Blonde after all. The girl said yes we just came from there. I went back to my ATV and the girls were already down there and the girls helped me . I got it on flat ground and it started right up no problem nothing broke. I went with the girls and when we got back on track I thanked the girls and said I am sorry I know I was going to fast but I am glad you girls are ok. The girls then said no we are sorry we too were going fast and didn't think anyone would be out here.. We exchanged phone numbers and what not and were riding friends for a long time till I mover to Florida .
