The council are not interested in visiting boats. That's what they said. They don't need boat tourism. I found it abit scruffy to be honest.

Hi will, the boats along the river bank in Cambridge are not residential moorings they are boaters that refuse to move, on and Cambridge Council will not do anything about it. I wouldn't moor my boat there !!!!!! Enjoying as always your videos

We did a boat holiday here (picked the boat up from Ely) we moored at Jesus Green with no issues and there is a bus stop right next to the moorings where you can catch the open top bus tour

Nice one Will fisher men think they own the river not all some I have got loads of spiders in mi flat I luv watching um build there webs people com around say just kill um but I won’t kill anything every thing has a right to live they are here for a purpose I say . Have you seen them little cameras that connect to ya phone through WIFI they are about £25 you shud get one for Mr Van then you can keep ya eye on it Keep safe Will 🙂🔧⛳️✌️

The mooring in Cambridge was at the end on the right were you probably turned near the last lock, you can also moor outside the Fort St George pup on your right on your way back, everything else is residential moorings. That lock is out of order now all your fault 😂😂. Yes fishermen can be a pain, had an intransigent one one wile back wile trying to moor up a massive Dutch barge all on my own and he would not move so had to go in anyway in the end. By the way you were lucky the rowers were not out as there are normally loads and they can be interesting.

I can't say for a big important city i was impressed by the river going in. The visitor's moorings had the homeless living next to them and the pub was heaving so i didn't fancy that so i just got out and went back on the bus. The fisherman was a arrogant p....k. I moored up right in front of him and he stormed off swearing. He was on a lock landing. ha ha ha

@@NarrowboatWill Agreed Will yes the fishermen can be a pain in this area, in Ely there is even a notice saying no one has priority and yet there is nowhere else to more, yet the fishermen can fish anywhere its really unfair. The moorings are slim in Cambridge because the colleges rule the roost here, that is why they made the short stretch to Cambridge an extra fee, they don’t like to many boats turning up as that would interfere with the rowers, it’s a shame you did not get to walk around the backs of the colleges as they are spectacular. The colleges are extremely wealthy they own swathes of London just to give you an idea of the clout they have so there is little that can be done.
