@Chris Dean If you evaluated their encounter during the sasuke v itachi battle you'd see that oro was very confident in his snakeform. He didn't even contemplate losing to itachis susanoo. Itachi won because of the overpowered sealing technique which orochimaru found a way around anyways. At the end of the day Orochimaru is immortal. Sharigans are just plot devices in Naruto. Izanami and Izanagi for example.

@@kishi1811 probably the uchihas would still be alive, we would have a good itachi, orochimaru wouldnt have made enough experiments so kabuto wouldnt be able to do the edo tensei, sasuke would have a happy live and also naruto, when akatsuki came ro steal bijuus The village would be more stable and they would have the uchihas tu protect naruto, but naruto wouldnt have trained 3 years with jiraiya since sasuke never got kidnapped, jiraiya would still need to go to the rain village and get killed making naruto get sage mode, the war would start but they dont have madara so they lose probably even before black zetsu revives kaguya

Seth The Programmer stated Satutobi was holding back for the most part in that fight. He only got serious when he triggered the paperbombs attached in the limbs of the two hokages. @@erikurizita6702 Yeah, no if Kishi actually said that he was on drugs or he said that way before introducing Hashi and Madara fighting capabilities . Hishu fights significantly weakened version of Hashi and Tobi under worse version of edo and he is barely pulling through. Madara when revived from edo utterly stomps EMS sasuke and sage mode Naruto (even without Madara in sage mode in this case he blitzes him). Then in sage mode and without eyes proceeds to stomp all tailed beasts and shinobi alliance. Madara was shown to have perfect Susanoo way back in war arc. Age shouldn't affect Hiru ninjutsu to any significant degree if something it should get better with experience and knowledge, at most physical stats would be nerfed. Hiru ninjutsu demonstrated nowhere near capacity and destrutive power as Madara perfect susanoo (let alone susanoo armored nine tails) and Hashi several thousand hands technique or wood human technique. Hasi or Madara are in league in their own and prior to Naruto and Sasuke they were pretty much peak ninja (with few coming somewhat close such as Nagato/Pain) so they they most likely quickly dispatch prime Hiru if they get serious.

Orochimaru took it and re-developed it, then later Kabuto did the same, and shortly after orochimaru once again used a different variation of the technique. There's like 4 or 5 iterations and none of them are ever properly explained. But Kabuto's version during the great war was the best, as the one Orochimaru later uses to revive the 4 kages is undoubtedly weaker.

Honestly the first time I saw this fight I was like “ the 1st n 2nd hokage seem pretty weak, they’re definitely kage level but lost to 3rd hokage” Only much later that I found out that it was because Orochimaru hasn’t perfected the jutsu yet

I dont think there was this thing with the reanimation nerf so early in Naruto. am i wrong? so the 3rd really did(before the retcon) held his own at his age against 2/3 Kage. Shows why he originally had the "god of shinobi" title before being used for Hashirama too. I wish Naruto stayed like this a little longer.
