You just failed to comprehend. Black Zetsu is the third child of Kaguya, born from Kaguya's anger/hatred after her sealing by her two kids, Hagoromo and Hamura. Black Zetsu unlike his two older brothers sought to bring back his mother and had inherited her will at birth. He instigated actions out of Indra after Indra lost the role of successor to his father to his little brother, Ashura. Due to this Black Zetsu is the reason that the conflict between the descendants of Ashura and Indra was born. Black Zetsu goal was to create the pursuit of chakra so that the rinnegan could be reborn, so that Kaguya could be resurrected. Overall, Black Zetsu just wants his mommy back and her to be happy! Happy mothers days!

NexGenStriker I think you were listening to Sawyer, that's why. The ten-tails is made up of both the sacred tree and the body of Kaguya. Hagoromo and Hamura didn't known this and thought that the ten-tails was only an incarnation of the sacred tree and sought to reclaim the chakra fruit. What the ten-tails really was trying to do was reclaim all chakra and distribute it back to her two sons. Basically the Ten-tails like Black Zetsu was going by Kaguya's will, a mother's will. Hagoromo and Hamura sealed their mother unknowingly, thinking the ten-tails sought for the destruction of humanity and was only made from the sacred tree when it too was also made of the body of Kaguya. It looks like after Kaugya's passing, she and the tree became one and the ten-tails was born through her will just like black zetsu. Kaguya is mad because she was sealed inside of her own children. Oh yeah, there's two black zetsu because Zetsu is a product of the sealing of Kaguya by Hamura and Hagoromo. Black Zetsu is both Hamura and Hagoromo in a sense which is why there's two, in one.

Well I can see why Madara didn't use Izanagi during the fight. He was simply confident in his ability right up to the end, it's not like he felt as if he was being overpowered at any moment of the encounter, so why waste an eye? Instead he reserved the technique in case something did go wrong and he were to be defeated. Danzo on the other hand, was fucked regardless. The only way he could fight sasuke was by using Izanagi, if he didn't he would have died pretty quickly.

Some stories evidently have a lot of thought and planning put into them. Some things in manga like Death Note and One Piece had plot points that were obviously planned, like, 40+ chapters ahead of time. Naruto, on the other hand... the author seems to plan some things between last week and this week, and makes it out to seem like they were planned over the entire course of the series, or before the series even began.

Izanagi is a reality bending technique. Madara probably knew he'd be defeated by Hashirama so he set up Izanagi (while still alive) to activate a bit after he dies as to fool everyone.

I think it's strange how Kishimoto contradicts himself with the introduction of Kaguya as the final villain of the series. Pretty sure he said that Madara was the final villain several months ago, but now he's decided to scrap that idea and give us a scarier, more OP character. When Tobi was first unmasked, I was upset. I really wanted Tobi to be someone new - his own character with his own motivations, and not just the product of more cycle of hatred blah blah. But now that we have the real final villain (until Kishimoto writes in Kaguya's grandfather), we get a brand new character, and Kishi tries to sell it as some grand master plan like Madara's. I don't buy it, I think it's sloppy writing for this manga. We've come to expect better.

It was a good attempt to fix the story and i would rather have that everything was planned out by black zetsu than everything being fate so good job there. Other than that its still bad, kaguya is still just a random final villain that shows up at the end. she is explained at least, not in a very good way but hey shes explained. Is it just me who thinks that black zetsu himself would have been the better final villain, he is the master-mind behind everything. this chapter was clearly building up black zetsu and not kaguya, he is the only one right now that i want to see get his as beaten.

GOSH!! after seen Kaguya crying face I immediately thought of that...NOW: "Sakura´s Talk no justu saves the day" XDD, just like Swayer predicted the other day: "Sakura can relate to Kaguya´s pain by being a woman",... and so she saves everyone; shutting up Sasuke about the "you can´t do anything" DX...... BUT NOOOO... NO KISHI... THAT WOULD DESTROY COMPLETELY THE STORY......NO MORE TALK NO JUSTUS TO DEFEAT THE FINAL VILLAIN! ......what happened to good fights in shonen manga?.. I mean, I like intelligent stories ok?, but no all the villains are angels turned into demons... there are really pure villains out there that will no be talk no justued... so a LITTLE more of fights in this story could be a refreshing thing... or at least no more talk no Justus please. I prefer everybody dying at the end instead of that weak finale.

Izanagi is a jutsu that should have never been introduced into this series, it is what causes the problems. I wished Izanagi did something else or had a clearer set of rules. Also substitution too.

people glorify part 1 too much when they look at the 'logical flaws' in Shippuden. So just bring out substitution on the nostalgiatards, can they still say part 1 is vastly better. Also bring up the first episode where Naruto learns the shadow clones easily right after stealing a scroll (lol how bad was security around the scroll anyway to let an infant easily steal it when Mezuki could've got the job done on his own much easily). Naruto who could learn a jutsu let alone the clone jutsu just easily learns shadows in a moment. Never explained 600+ chapters later. And if people didn't like the whole reviving thing going on nowadays, blame part 1 again because edo tensei was thrown in there and it would be far less realistic if no one used this haxed jutsu again or developed it like Kabuto did.

I found the backstory very interesting and I appreciate the series clearing up a lot of questions, but one thing that didn't sit well with me was how Madara survived. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying this is a plot hole. The way it was explained made perfect sense to me. I just didn't like that it was Izangi. To me finding out that you could use that Jutsu in such a manner cheapens death to me. That means if you fight an Uchiha who has knowledge of Izangi and has the MS technically they should never die unless you get smart enough to rip their eyes out before you go for the kill. So Itachi should of used this trick when he fought Sasuke, Shisui should have, Izuna should have, and Obito you're not looking too hot right now so you better prepare the Jutsu. And the Kaguya being the 10 tails thing did confuse me. Otherwise it was a decent chapter, good story.

I agree with you on madara's death part. It bothered me that he lived through izanagi and was dead for a while before it was activated. As for kaguya being the ten tails, it was well explained. See what you're not getting is that there's two stories, Hagoromo's and the truth(bz). Kaguya ate the chakra fruit, that's true. What's not true is that the ten-tails was an incarnation of the sacred tree trying to reclaim its chakra fruit. The ten-tails is an incarnation of kaguya and the sacred tree, it exists because of her and the tree. Hagoromo and Hamura didn't know the ten tails was their mother and thought the ten-tails was an Incarnation of the sacred tree hellbent on getting its fruit back. What they didn't know was that the ten tails wanted to reclaim all chakra and distribute it back to her sons. The beast had kaguya's will, a mother's will. Hagoromo would go on living not knowing that he sealed his mother, which is the reason for her hatred/anger at Hagoromo and Hamura. Now as for how she became the ten-tails. Kaguya became the ten tails after her death-her chakra=physical and spiritual energy went inside the sacred tree giving birth to an incarnation of both her and sacred tree, which was the ten tails.

Bruce Kent That's the thing, we don't know how she died, so mostly likely she just passed away. Its the same with Hagoromo, he passed away. After Kaguya and Hagoromo passed away, they both continued to exist. Kaguya continued to exist inside the tree while Hagoromo continued to exist at that place Naruto and Sasuke met him. They die in the real world but continue to exist in some other place. Kaguya's new existence became the ten-tails after her death, she wasn't killed she just died just like Hagoromo just died a few moments after he had created the tailed beasts.

Is it just me thinking that Black Zetsu is Hagoromo's brother? He does call Kaguya his mother and he does talk of Hagoromo like a brother would. Reminder. Naruto and Sasuke are both descendants from Hagoromo. The brother up until recently wasnt even known.

That is why i think that the brother sacrificed himself during the fight with Kaguya, and became the shinigami and created the sealing jutsu as we know it, while black zetsu is an artificial child of Kaguya, born out of her will and desperation to come back to world.

But what I really wanna know is how Kaguya's Byakugan relates to the Hyuga Clan. Kishi killed off my most favorite character of all time Neji mother flip'n Hyuga. So he better explain the origin of the Byakugan.

1. The "you've been dancing to my tune all along" gimmick is kinda lame. I mean..."everything" going according to plan is a BIG stretch. 2. Madara get's Hashirama's powers just by grafting his flesh onto himself? Can that work for any Shinobi or just Uchiha's or just Uchiha's with MS or Rinnegan? 3. Never really epalins how Black Zetsu was able to manipulate these people. For every generation, no one seemed to find a Black Zetsu approaching them and starting trouble noteworthy. It's just one apparently immortal thing doing all this plotting, manipulating, and remaining completely unknown to anyone up until the Akatsuki, where he still is basically unknown. The plot has some strings hanging...

Well judging from how Danzo could use Izanagi, I'm guessing and Kakashi can use Obito's eye to pretty great lengths, I suppose as long as you have the necessary parts, everything works the same. That being said, if I were ever to be a ninja in that world, my first act would be to kill some Hyuuga child, place their eyes in my back and then raid Obito's eye storage, placing sharingan all over my body where the clothing can hide. I'd pose as a homeless beggar until the day Tsunadae walks by, biting one of her fingernails to gain a body full of rinnegan. Pretty sure I'd be a legitimate adversary, but that's not nearly enough. Afterward, I'd bust my eardrums and become deaf so that I cannot succumb to Naruto's repetitive reasoning. AND THEN, I'd hide until this war finishes.

The reason behind the delayed activations of certain techniques is because of the Mangekyou. At least in the scans i read, it explains this is something unique to the Mangenkyou vs regular Sharingan. So it basically grants the user the ability to lay traps with their ocular jutsu. And its obvious now any uber level jutsu (known by the user) can be used as a delayed activation or transferred to someone else. Makes you wonder if Itatchi transferred Izanagi to Sasuke incase he ever actually dies.

Let's not forget there is one more example of the time-lapse jutsu in this series: when Zetsu time-lapsed his sporulation jutsu which ended up saving Sasuke after he got cornered by the Mizukage. That was totally one of his regular jutsus that he used while he was dead (and that explains why he didn't use it earlier to save Sasuke when it wasn't clear that Gaara would, because he couldn't control alter the time it was set to go off after he already diied).

I still have some questions though, like where did she come from, who was the father of Hagoromo and Hamura, and why does she want all chakra to be one with her? I mean she gave birth to those two, and now she wants the chakra back. Hopefully they show more from that era. Anyways very informative chapter on everything from Kaguya to Madara. Good chapter.
