The answers will always come eventually in Naruto. Sometimes you have to wait a episode, or 10 or 100. But somewhere along the road it will come :).

The curse mark is basically an instrument to keep the hierarchy in check inside the clan, but it has some other purposes that will be revealed. It is nice that you can already see the cracks and contradictions in Neji's ideology, though to be fair many fans believe Neji was right in this fight and in Naruto universe destiny does exist, but that would be for you to decide when you are finished with Shippuden ;)
