You answered your question. Jiraiya didn't let him use shadow clone during rasengan training because Yamato wasn't around. Kakashi dared to do that because he had Yamato around all the time. Even if a single clone starts transforming it's all over. Jiraiya couldn't take that risk.

The Jiraiya slander is crazy 😭😭😭 he literally trained a genin who was barely stronger than Kiba and made him a Jonin-level ninja (and Sannin-level if he self harms with the nine tails power). Jiraiya’s training was just not flashy in the results because he mostly worked on fundies and because Naruto hasn’t gotten many good base showings in the last few arcs.

I love how they explain the different chakra nature's. They dumbed it down for all of us to understand.

I don't think its too big a deal that Jiraiya didnt have hem use clones during training. It took all his focus to complete each of the steps and Naruto said back then that it was extremely tough and complex with using his chakra to manipulate it. Right now hes just tearing paper which doesn't take as much chakra and now that he's older he has a lot more

I don’t wanna really spoil it for Maddie but Naruto is from the uzumaki clan they have a large amount of chakra but Naruto is half uzumaki because of his father the 4th hokage his mother has way more chakra than him because she was the 9tails jinchuriki before Naruto

A lot of Kekkei Genkai don’t have anything to do with the five chakra natures but are mainly because they are an inherited blood line trait within the clan like Byakugan and Sharingan. They are Visual Jutsu or Dojutsu. And a lot of the normal Ninjutsu are passed down through family lines via training and learning how to weild and control Chakra, like the Shadow Possession Jutsu which was passed down through Shikamaru’s clan or like Shino’s clan who are all Insect Tamer shinobi that can control bugs to use their Jutsu. They don’t require a change in chakra nature.

I always felt like this episode came extremely late in the series. It is a cool way to expand the Naruto combat system, but why wouldn't this be established earlier- like training with Jirajiya or even before the time skip. Madison asked why didn't Jirajiya explain this. I agree 100% haha.
