A Tortoise can’t flip itself if it gets turned over. A turtle can flip itself, it just needs to wiggle around until it finds a good enough grip in the terrain to push against, it’ll flip itself easily. Some turtles accidentally flip themselves multiple times a day depending on the environment.

I hope your GF grandfather gets well. Honestly TMNT with "Naruto" Charka Power System would be interesting. I can see each Turtle having Two Elemetal Charka Affinities that they share or oppose. Donnie as Fuinjutsu and Intelligence/Code Breaking specialist. Mikey with Animal Summons and possible Sage Mode/Charka Sensor. Ralphel as the Taijutsu/Yang Release and Torture/Interrogation specialist. Leonardo as Kenjutsu and Genjutsu/Yin Release specialist. Master Splinter could use 4 Elemental Affinities and basically taught each Turtle their specialize skills for a basic/foundation, but I see Master Splinter as Kage Level easily and knows at least 1 Forbidden Jutsu. I prefer Hamato Yoshi transforms into a Mutant Rat that is Splinter...i just cant see a rat copy Ninjutsu/Martial Arts even if said rat was exceptional. Leo, Donnie and Master Splinter havest glow up as "Naruto" style shinobi. Honestly love Samurai Leo, Jonin Jacket Donnie and Master Splinter with his Robes/Cain is classic that fits "Naruto" Universe. Still the Masks that the Turtles and Master Splinter have are the BEST addition given hint at ANBU and different style of Masks compared to the Eye-Hole Domino Masks the Turtles wear. I want Team 7 to be mutated. Kakashi is a Dog Mutant Shinobi for his Summons and Kakashi would get power boost because his Human body becoming a Mutated...I don't know how the Sharingan in his eye factor in but perhaps Kakashi has more Charka as a Mutant. Sasuke as a Crow or Raven, somewhat looking like a Tengu. Perhaps Kekkai Genaki mutation of the pre Mature/not fully matures Sharingan. Sakura as a Pig/Boar because a Pig is somewhat symbol for Healing. Probably more Charka, possible Yang Release, and strangely better Charka Control for her Medical Ninjutsu and making her Super Strength better/devastating Naruto somewhere between a Toad and Fox, but probably a hybrid of both somehow. Possible Uzumaki Kekkai Genaki manifest Uzumaki Adamantine Chains and open up Charka Sensory if Mutation unlock Uzumaki genes in Naruto.

Giving Kakashi dog or wolf transformation without turning him into an Inuzuka clan member is difficult task. Has to be done cleverly. A hawk like transformation would be more appropriate for Sasuke. While he doesn't have anything to do with it in part 1, hawk/taka is the animal he himself chose. Snakes were pushed onto him by Orochimaru. Turning Sakura her rival 'Ino'shishi 🐗😆 By giving Naruto toad 🐸 like features, you'd essentially be making him an imperfect toad sage. Not in line with part 1. Fox features are the way to go.

I understand why the comic is written the way it is: its set in part one and is written to evoke part one *without* any retcons or foreknowledge. Calling the biju spirits/animals/beasts, the way characters talk, its all in line with part of Naruto before any additions, retcons, or etc were added. Just literally ignore *everything* that comes after the Sasuke Retrieval arc and its pretty solid

Kakashi was a devoted teacher. He invested heavily in Naruto, and Sasuke’s development. He taught them more advanced applications of chakra control with the tree climbing training, he taught Sasuke the Chidori/help him boost his speed between the intermediate/final round of the Chunin Exams, and he’s the reason Naruto was able to master the Rasenshuriken. While he couldn’t teach Sakura how to make the best of her talents he encouraged her to train with Tsunade.

Nick pisses me off. It’s easy to reason that during the comic when they mentioned Sasuke was the leader of Team 7 they’re referring to him leading the squad outside of their mentors. Kakashi and Splinter are mentoring Team 7, and TMNT however Leonardo leads the turtles whereas Sasuke fills the same role for Team 7. Don’t try to refute that claim because Sasuke is the leader of Team 7. During the Land of Waves Arc he took charge when the Demon Brothers appeared, played the biggest role in freeing Kakashi, protected Naruto from Haku after he passed out. During the Chunin Exams he came up with a plan to distinguish each other from imposters, defeated the Rain Shinobi, repelled the Sound Ninja, and was willing to throw his life away to protect Naruto/Sakura from Gaara. In certain scenarios even if he didn’t completely defeat/incapacitate the enemy he’d protect the rest of Team 7 in Kakashi’s absence, and hed lead the charge dealing massive damage against the enemies they’d face.

As far as the "Turtles were humans" thing isn't necessarily correct. Some versions of the Ooze mutates whatever touches it to have the characteristics of the last animal they came in contact with. So Himato Yoshi living in the sewer with rats running across his feet turning him into a rat-like human, and baby turtles being handled by Yoshi to turn into human like turtles.

i think the version of tmnt were seeing is the 2015 version that aired on nickelodeon cause splinter was a human who was transformed into a rat cause of the mutegen while the turtles got mutated into intelligent two upright standing ninja turtles

Those blurbs about each character at the beginning are pretty standard for American comics. Since every issue is someone's first, every character you should know about before reading a certain issue gets a little rundown along with an elevator pitch for the overarching story. You can skip them if you know the characters, but they're a decent way of finding your bearings if you're just jumping in with a random issue. If there aren't any there it's usually because the story will fill you in as you go.

Yup. Marvel and DC even put them at the beginning of issues. Cause yeah, you probably know who Superman and Spider-Man are, but the writers can't take for granted that every single person who picks up the book knows who these characters are. The intro in the comic was a little clunky, but it was mainly for any tmnt fans who aren't into Naruto. I'm sure issue 2 will feature the backstory of the turtles to similarly catch up Naruto fans.

@NCHammer23 Hamato Yoshi is the name of the owner of the rat the becomes master splinter. Now there’s 2 main origin stories so I’m not sure which 1 this series will follow but my guess is the 1 where Hamato Yoshi gets mutated into the Rat (Master Splinter). The other origin is Yoshi’s pet rat learning martial arts and all his teaching through observing through time and when Yoshi got killed during the time his rat got mutated, (the rat) took up after his master

In the TMNT movie continuity Splinter mimicked the martial arts of his owner when he was a rat, and that might be what Kakashi was referring too is that it was similar but not exactly the same. Though my knowledge of the broader TMNT continuity is limited and i didn't even know about reincarnation and morphing from humans, so it could be that. Good video and I'm looking forward to the review of the next chapter
