In the novel, Momoshiki could also absorb Naruto's wood jutsu. He can absorb ANY ninjutsu, so of course Shadow Paralysis would not be a problem for him to absorb.

I think Boruto shines a character because everyone else in the manga is written to act stupid and make idiotic decisions, and I don't enjoy that in order to make a character seem good they make every other character from og naruto feel stupid

@@agustin7979 read up on rinnegan abilities. It’s not limited to touching bodies as pain demonstrated. You can absorb any jutsu. Even momoshiki was doing it here 🤣 Also didn’t they show Sasuke a step above that when he was absorbing chakra from the tailed beast captured in the planetary devastations jutsu without any attack or even touching them. Go rewatch Naruto.
