In truth, the meta plot of Naruto did not exist until Shippuden. Prior to Kishimoto writing the middle of the Wave arc, he had a vague idea that the Sannin would come in and Orochimaru would be a villain. Naruto was not even the 4th's son yet. Because of that, a lot of stuff he did early like the 9 tails attack and the Uchiha massacre had to be retconned massaged to comply with later events. Like the 9 tails attack on the day of Naruto''s birth...what was Obito going to do with the Kyubi. The fan theories are either that he would have Nagato use the RInnegan to control the Kyubi (since we know it is the next up state from the EMS and Nagato had not been taught all the RInnegan abilties or that Obito was going to harvest Uchiha eyes from the corpses of the Uchiha after the 9 tails to see if any were close enough for Obito to get an EMS).

this battle is one of those that incorporate true ninja moves, not shiny as dragon ball typical fights as in another naruto battles. this requires strategy precision calculation etc you name it but yet so simple and superbly cool at the same time. the panshot when minato swings his rasengan on top tobi body is just so delightful scene.

The move where Minato let his kunai go through Madara and then he teleported at the last second and rasenganed the heck out of him is the absolute most clutch move EVER! Especially when Minato's theme starts playing in the background! Minato was such a genius to have figured out Madara's move and how to counter it that quickly! This and the next episode are where we see how much of a BOSS Minato can be! Oh, and Naruto has Kushina's last name because Minato was too well known across the Elemental Nations and had too many enemies, so giving Naruto the Uzumaki name was safer so that nobody would know that he was Minato's kid.

It just occured to me that Hizuren wife was murdered that night... To think Kushina just experienced the pain and joy of child birth, then the horror of almost seeing her child killed, to the extraction of the nine-tails... and to see Minato also having handle a situation when he himself just became a father, and to choose who to protect first between child and mother.... To watch Naruto sobs of life to almost being blown to bits in the first piece of clothing that wraps his body.. To see a village just going about there business and then to be attacked by the very thing the feared... The amount of time the leaf village had to rebuild itself omg... This is a lot even for the invested viewer to watch.. well done, it was amazingggggg!!!!

What he exactly did was he threw his MARKED kunai towards Madara which passed through Madara and then instantly Minato transported to that kunai he threw so he appeared above Madara and attacked him with his Rasengan!

Fun Fact: The first two shinobi’s that was able to land a hit on Tobi/Madara are… 1. Minato - using teleportation technique. 2. Itachi - using Amaterasu that he implanted on sasuke. This two are also the top students in the ninja academy 🙂

Minato is such a genius that he can deduce the strength and weakness of a jutsu by seeing it once; that’s some Sharingan type analyze. No one else has been able to deduce Tobi’s jutsu like Minato at this point in the story. Minato actually didn’t need to die but plot

Minato's last name is Namikaze :) Naruto was called Uzumaki because inside of the leaf village it was an unknown name, forgotten by history, but if he was named Namikaze, people would know he was the 4th kid, and could've been a target Itachi and Kakashi have filler arcs dedicated to them, in japanese their scenes seen here were re-dubbed there with voices that match their age, here they have their adult voices, so as Guy, but they're supposed to be a young kid and two 15/16 yo teenagers ^^ I don't know if they re-dubbed them with matching voices in the english version then
