@@UzumakiNagato Nagato is not a cold heart psychopath (he took good care of his village), most of the time the guy just indifferent, but Naruto shares his teacher idealistic world view which to him is naive and hypocritical. The anger Nagato *intentionally* shows Naruto during this arc demonstrate the level of pain he has endured and hatred to justify what he has done and why he believe the Ninja world should just stop exist. Nagato puts Naruto in his shoes and see how Naruto would react. Two characters with opposite world views and ideals, Nagato re-confirm his beliefs by breaking the native Naruto and he did.

In my opinion there may be better fights overall but this entire three to four episode arch has the best all around emotion, action and care to include Naruto's parents at the end. This is basically an animal. A person, even when enraged, doesn’t act like an animal. Just look at Gohan after he went SSJ2 and started killing all the Cell Jrs and then fought Cell.

@@anti-spiral159 I have gotten enraged before. Shaking body, rapid breathing, crying and even feeling drained of emotions afterward. All that stuff. Even gone to therapy for it, since it sometimes happened randomly when nothing was happening. I never lost the ability to speak, nor did I hurt anyone around me. Though I did feel an intense urge to hit everything around me. And I have to consciously make an effort to not use too much strength. Normal rage doesn’t turn you into a literal beast. Naruto even hurts the people he wants to protect. Maybe it just depends on the person too. Not everyone gets enraged in the same way. Using Dragon Ball as an example, when Goku was enraged, he still spares Frieza. When Gohan was enraged, he wanted to torture him before killing him.

I had that obtuse mindset. Now dubs went up in quality and I prefer it more because it is toned down and feels more natural like interacting with someone directly and not through a text box.
