The upkeep for an acoustic piano is troublesome. :c The hammers for mine have already become hardened (from 11 years of not maintaining them), so the sound is sharp instead of soft. Because of this, a soft press is still very loud. I guess mine is in a better room though - high ceilings and somewhat open space, though it does have carpet flooring.

Than your upright piano must have WAY lighter action than mine because this keyboard is so much easier to play than my piano. Then again, my piano is also in a room that is acoustically lame meaning it has carpet floor and is tiny so there is virtually no natural resonance at all.
