As a matter of fact when Naruto started all major countries were in peace in a similar manner to our world. Moreover, your defense of these episodes is that they were filler, which just shows how poorly-paced Boruto really is. Naruto, a notoriously filler-ridden anime, still manages to be better at driving the plot forward in the same given amount of time as its successors.

The pseudo-filler ark with Sasuke and Boruto was very well done, the manga is also good(the last few chapters were meh, but still alright). But some of the filler arcs are infuriating in story and animation. Lets hope the upcoming arcs in cannon will be made with higher quality. If not, I will continue trash this anime.
