There was _more_ shadows but that does not make it "better" most of those shadows aren't even accurate nor necessary. Those who want a fully detailed picture should just look at that, pictures. Because animation at its core _aims_ to be simple and clear in order to translate the message. The added shadows won't add anything of substance except non-artists reaction of "ooohhh ahhhhhh, detailsss~" when it's just _shadows_ 💀

What I love about the original art is EMOTIONAL SUBTLETY! Instead of just being like "this is their mad face, this is their sad face", there's layers of emotion in the detail just like real-life. Like "she's sad that Sasuke is leaving but she's trying to wear a smile because a true ninja never shows their feelings" or "Sasuke isn't just attacking Itachi, he's so unhinged that he's charging in without a plan! He's being naive and reckless, and his eyes reflect this because you can see how unfocused he is."

Yall deeply underestimate lighting and coloring. I dont think I could watch naruto if it didnt change in Shippuden. As I have gotten older, I find myself not enjoying a lot of the older cartoons I once enjoyed simply because of the lack of color diversity. It makes everything feel flat. Also, more details ≠ better. Often times, older naruto looked messy. The lack of color didnt help that either.

Are you serious?? This new artsyle is awful... It's fine for Boruto, but for og Naruto characters, it just takes away the charm. Especially Naruto, he literally looks fat now... The new artsyle literally removes their noses at some points..

There's one thing that's pretty consistent with most of these. The fact that even though the newer ones look cleaner, the old ones had more focus on the important parts of the frame. Most likely because most of those shots from the original are directly copied from the manga, a medium where they had to convey everything that's going on through static images.

Los efectos, la fluidez y la calidad sin duda cambiaron muchísimo. No obstante, en el remake se pierde un poco perspectiva o ángulos, haciendo las escenas más simples en ese aspecto. Por otra parte, arreglaron caras del orto como la de Sasuke en el examen chunnin y otros más, pero deformaron a otros jajaja Se pierden detalles de arrugas y sombras, se hacen más planos como el estilo de Boruto. Realmente no me molestaría ver remasterizada la serie, tiene sus cosas buenas y malas en la animación pero es entendible considerando que tienen otro estilo y la wea, me gusta, me encanta!

Creo que embellecen un poco alos personajes , pero eso si cambian las escenas en su posición y en algunos gestos , pero aún así para los que amamos este anime nos resulta genial apesar de esos detalles. El creador de este anime puede hacer este anime más genial si esque es listo como disen muchos quitar el relleno después de la derrota de pain crear otra historia vs otra amenaza enemiga fuerte y que llame mucho la atencion que sea puro encuentro de batalla ya terminado ,la cuarta guerra ya que no afectaría al anime ya que fue puro relleno y se termina todo esto con la nueva animación

Some people are saying they want a remake, but i prefer the old animation much more, it's part of the style and aesthetic identity of the show, i don't want to see clean animated fights, i want to see dirt, i wanna see ps1 levels of cgi like that jutsu hand sign statue in the chunin exam, i want to see characters explaining a jutsu while they show those gritty human biology drawings. Watching a remake would be like watching a Charles Chaplin movie remade with colours and sound, it isn't the same as the original experience

The reanimated is good, just less detail, but the reason for it is probably these reasons 1. It’s just a short film production and stuff, they put enough effort for a 10 minute video 2. The less detail the easier it is to animate fights, like naruto vs sasuke, they tried to put some detail but lots of the detail was in the movement and action. In conclusion both of them look amazing, do prefer how the reanimated one did some of the scenes then the older one, especially naruto and sasuke vs madara, even if it was short it looked amazing hell Sasukes chidori, Naruto’s rasengan to pain all looked kinda better in the reanimated one. The older one has more nostalgia and meaning to it though….tbh we like the old one more just because we grew up with it, which isnt bad, but I try to not let the nostalgia cloud my overall opinion on stuff like this.
