When I would look up to the sky, I'd see that all the stars are shining bright. Just like the people who live their everyday lives, Each one of those stars is giving off its own light. We kept it quiet as we climbed up the old chain link fence. The playground seemed so different than it did when we had recess. We rushed for the "sea" we called our pool. It made no difference. We had no swimming trunks, so we just swam around while wearing nothing, And, as somebody yelled "Ha!", I heard him jump in. His splashing echoed in the night, And, then, we all went ahead and jumped in at the same time. We would gently float around, looking at the sky from the ground. We'd talk about the dreams in our hearts, turn to the sky, look at the stars, searching through the dark, hoping to find just a single spark of that one shooting star.
