No, I wouldn’t say people ignored it. I’d say not everyone wakes up around the same time. Some grasped this song immediately, he understood. I for one, wasn’t seeing these things they’re speaking of…until I gave myself to God. It was then that I “woke” up, and realized that spiritual attacks are real! What I’m feeling is of another comprehension because God who resides in me, helps me know that He IS always with me 🙏🏼

Damian Marley was warning us about exactly whats happened recently, he warns about covid and our children been poisoned by what theyre taught, probably why this album wasnt given the publicity it deserved,he also mentions the healing powers of his culture and cancel culture of people who speak the truth 'the rich get stitched up, and get cut' its the best album ive ever heard. ❤

compared to 100% of the rest of consumer glorified plaque detritus called rap songs these days this is like an encounter with God. the fact is, lyrically they speak of no depth at all about anything just shallow trending concepts computers tell them what concepts to just speak in a rap song. rap is an insult to the type of real music black people used to make (mo-town, blues, jazz) that had soul to it and immersive feeling for all ages, nowadays the music industry is run by white people of course which present black rappers as icons for the black race which glorify everything that is consumer based which makes rap music an insult to the african american race from top to bottom, everything from grandmaster flash to Nas to jay-z, etc. perhaps rap and hip hop music can still serve a perhaps as a kind of transition back to real genuine music that has soul and mood feeling to it, but that would mean rappers would have to lyrically become poets about real issues in the world which is unlikely because they all suck ass in mainstream. why don't underground good rappers with some talent make rap songs about things that need to be spoken about in the world such as sweden rape epidemic, 9/11, the patriot act, GMOs, fluoride in water supply, etc, etc; these are topics that need to be covered, rather than glorifying gold teeth, consumer products run by white people. why do black people fall into the con game trap of rap and hip hop music, knowing how incredibly talented they inherently are musically. if rap music is to be used for a purpose it should be a sort of think tank like dialogue a group has about the important topics, and the last verse should be about real applicable solutions, and the money made from the songs/record label should go to the solutions. if anyone is talented in rap, they should simply learn music production, create their own record label, then run this kind of benevolent enterprise. i'd like to hear someone tell me i'm wrong somewhere in this, and prove to me that rap music serves a purpose other than what i've mentioned.

Just now hearing this for the first time in 2024 button ☑️ …but for real, what an insanely deep, meaningful, and important song. I never knew Bob personally. However, I’d like to think he’d be proud of his son, Damien. I will say that I wish that he would make more rap music, because the industry could use, more now than ever, more content like this. 9/10 songs in pop, hip-hop, rap, and all other genres are filled with money hungry and soul corrupting stories and lyrics, meant to tear corrupt youth as they grow, destroy the family unit as it forms, and disrupt any established sense of good within society. Worst part is that they even have artist have a good message sometimes when they’re younger and then when they get older and reach their peak, they change the message slowly to a message that doesn’t do any good for humanity. If you’re an artist reading this, I hope you keep your love for creativity, independence, and humanity. In this day and age, you don’t need a label. You just need to learn how to market yourself, sell yourself, and create content that markets both you and your music directly to its target market. Like him or hate him, Kanye just made huge progress for independent artist, and was the first independent artist to be number 1 the way he was (yes, is is independent now, and made a big deal out of how labels corrupt the artist, and I’m not a fan of everything he says or does, but this was objectively good for humanity and artists, despite the song that did it being a terrible message in and of itself, as it was “CARNIVAL” that did it).
