Jay z lit the fire under his back. This was a bonafide hip hop war and I fuckin loved it. So many great MCs were holdin it down. Beanie vs Kiss was also legendary

this is why Nas is more of a powerful artist. Nas is in love with hip hop. Jay is in love with money. both are wonderful but as far as the ARTIST its Nas.

Being called God's Son is not hypocritical at all. The Christian belief is that we're all children of God. What is hypocritical about this interview (in part 1) is when Nas calls out Jay for dissing women, when Nas and the Bravehearts had songs like Oochie Wally and You Owe Me.

Only thing I didn't like was after all the smoke clears, Nas join forces with his enemy. The same guy you exposed for being a scumbag. The same guy you said was the type of guy to kick you while you down. Jay bent over and crapped in a lot of people faces. Including the ones he called his friends. You showed us time and time again his hand. That he is really all for himself. I commend Nas for being a bigger man and squashing the beef. Really it was bigger than rap for him to do that. BUT. You can love from a distance. Wish no harm on that man and keep it moving. I understand that it's chess not checkers. I guess Nas seen where Jay was headed and he took action by jumping on that fantastic voyage. But it just seem like it had more to do with money than anything else. And that seem to be counterproductive for an intelligent brother like Nas. Almost like he sold out. But he still my Top 5 BOTTOMLINE!

There is some misinformation regarding NaS signing with DefJam. NaS was signed by L.A. Reid, was given a $10million Bonus, no advance, a Bonus, to sign with DefJam and basically also squash the Beef with Jay-Z due NAACP and others getting involved in order to de-escalate the Beef and not letting get to Biggie & 2PAC level. They even had an interview with Sway of MTV and Jay-Z even said that you don't sign a Talent like NaS, you basically partner with NaS, so basically although Jay-Z was President of A&R for Def Jam and LA Reid was the actual CEO, NaS and Jay-Z were partners at Def Jam.
