It is crazy, bang that shit loud it bangs, sometimes when Esco flows left it is fresh like the Blue Bentley track. I love the fact that he put a few chick songs on the magic series. I think all 3 of the Magic albums are good.I don't want to compare the Magic albums.I want to compare the Magic albums with the last 3 albums the majority of the other rappers have made in a short window of time like the Magic albums and there is no comparision to the excellent lyrics and beats that Nas and Hitboy are making.

I don't exactly agree but I kinda understand where you are coming from. This album is special though. I definitely wouldn't insinuate that it is a typical Nas + hitboy album. Nas has never made albums that can be honestly reviewed off of first listen. You look young so I am sure you are going to miss some hidden gems. I listened to it 20 times and is still digesting certain lines. I didn't have to do that with magic 1 or 2. This is his most lyrical album in years.

For me there is nothing in particular that is separating this album from KD3, or Magic 1 or 2. Like I said most will misinterpret what I'm saying because I'm not saying it's a bad album I'm just saying after 5 other albums its lost its wow factor FOR ME. And when I give a first listen its always in that perspective, not saying my mind can't change down the line. What are some lyrical examples you can give that you feel really separate this album from the rest?

@@Trilltevi never thought you were saying the album is bad. Your review is basically saying it is good, but typical of what he has been doing lately. I personally think that is not true. It is separated easily by the production. Nas is also more introspective. I understand that he has often alluded to certain things but it is more in depth. Based on a true even 1 and 2 alone seperates this album from the rest. The reason why I say it is more lyrical is because he is saying a lot of clever lines that may come off of as just rapping until broken down. I can't pick one song to use an example becaue he was doing it across the whole album. There wasn't a particular whole verse. There was just a bunch of slick lines scattered throughout.

Production is good this time, better than Magic 2. The composition of the drums and samples is good but i don't like the way everything was mixed and mastered. There's just something about the way those beats sound that rubs me the wrong way. It sounds overly processed if that makes any sense.

For a year thats been mostly mediocre album wise, Magic 3 is still the aoty. Weve got less than a month to go before the calendar flips, so unless Cole or Benny drop their albums, both of which I anticipate being exceptional, no one's jumping ahead of Nas.
