NASA ER-2 Landing & Recovery at Dobbins Air Reserve Base

NASA's ER-2, a specially modified U-2 spy plane, has been operating out of Dobbins ARB since the beginning of January. NASA 806's (N806NA) mission is to study weather patterns along the eastern seaboard & it has already spent countless hours orbiting New England at Flight Level 60. Ever since its arrival at Dobbins ARB on January 5th, it has used Runway 29 for landing. We naturally assumed the same would be true on this day, but we were sadly mistaken. NASA 806 was destined for Runway 11 and we were left with nothing to do but make the best of it. So we did just that & got much more than we could have ever expected. Luckily this bird will be in town until March so there will be many more opportunities to snag it!
