It is still considered a Planet, just a dwarf planet. There's hundreds if not thousands of pluto sized rocks out there by Pluto, you gonna consider them part of it too? They don't orbit like the other 8 planets do and it's a giant debree field of similar size rocks. Pluto is also smaller than the moon and we don't consider the moon a planet

Pluto didn't lose the status of planet due to its size but because it doesn't fit the second part of a planet definition. Being "it didn't suppress any body able to move on a close orbit". Pluto is a part of a gigantic overall called the Oort belt which contains bigger bodies than Pluto, leading to it being redefined as a minor planet.

@Infinite_Horizonsss

Pluto's presence of carbon monoxide is not due to exhaust. Carbon monoxide naturally exists in space, and its presence on Pluto is likely a result of various chemical processes occurring on the icy surface. It can form through interactions between Pluto's surface materials and cosmic rays or solar radiation.

Big mistake. The sun would NOT appear yellow from Pluto. The sun actually appears white in space, and only looks yellow on Earth from the refraction of its light by Earth's atmosphere. However, since Pluto's atmosphere is so thin--12.23 μbar or 80,000 times less than the atmospheric pressure at mean sea level on Earth--the sun would appear in its true color. White.

For some reason, just the sheer difference in gravity (a 300 lb earthling weighing 19 lbs on Pluto…) is fascinating. It makes me wonder if maybe there are gravitational affects on things like cancer. If you only feel like you weigh 19 lbs for example, it would be so easy and so light on your joints and muscles to go for a long run on pluto, whereas on earth it is much harder to run at that weight. Among many other things I ponder that is one.

If not a planet, how is it the Disney animators named a cartoon dog after it? Yeah, tell me THAT! The tagline and opening statement in this video claims that Pluto was once the ninth planet . Was it? Or was it, correctly put, once CONSIDERED the ninth planet? The chats I have read here clearly show that Pluto is, from an emotional standpoint "still the ninth planet". If if pluto is to be considered a planet we must consider Ceres, Vesta, Eris, Makemake, Gonggong, Quaoar, Sedna, Eris, Orcus, and even the more elliptically shaped Haumea as well as a list of others. Unlike the other eight planets, Pluto lets it largest moon push it around. It's "wobble" is great enough that it kind of orbits a point in space outside itself as well as the sun.

Personaly i feel pluto provides a idea of how earth is able to hold life and be active in a benefiting way. Botg earth and pluto have a large moon in comparison to the size of the planitary body and both also have a tilt vecause of their respective moon, this is why pluto can be so active and also develop a atmosphere even though it is so far away from the sun and reciving less heat. I belive that they should take that into accould and search for planets with the same moon and tilt conditions in the habbitable zone of other galaxies and forget about all thease tidal locked super earths
