About 25 years ago, I was extremely upset by an issue that was really bothering my daughter. As I was walking across our barnyard, stressing over how to 'fix' things, I suddenly stopped dead in my tracks. The realization had flashed through my brain that nothing really matters because this whole life thing is just a play, and we're all just really actors playing off each other. I knew it then was true, as I know it now. I feel like I've finally found people who get me and I'm very thankful for Next Level Soul. Take Care

I've had two situations where I consciously saw the outcome ending in death. I felt calmness and acceptance, but no fear of life ending. These came at 18 and 19. At 82 I have lived over 60years without that fear.

OK Alex, you know you have to tell her story via the silver screen. Whose better qualified?! I listened to this while driving, I then had to go home and watch it and have now saved it. The chemistry, energy and interplay between you was exceptional. You both facilitated one another, mesmerizing! Shehnaz ability to bridge and be so eloquent in explanations on such broad range of subject, was a delight. I know you have plenty of spare time to make the block buster movie...'To The Moon and Beyond '. Righto, off you go, the script in my inbox by February!😁😁

Yes this lady's story needs telling on the big screen. She, and her story are exceptional! I just watched The Forgotten Figures' about the amazing women who worked at NASA, without whom the first manned space flight would not have taken place when it did. Shennaz's story puts even theirs in the shade.

I struggle with living my full potential "now" while actively parenting 3 children. They require so much care and attention. And I adore them! But, most of my energy goes to them and I have little bandwidth to spread my wings as "me" rather than as "mom". I don't want to wish this exhausting stage away but...I still have 8 years before dropping my youngest off at college. (2 of the 3 are special needs, though sounds like not as intensely as Shanaz's son.)

Hello. First off i wish you much strength as a mom of 3. I too have 3. And hear you feeling you have no time to expand to your full. As my kids are older, in retrospect and in spite of myself struggling w those same challenging thoughts, i realize the intense workout of raising kids was the work. Learning about connection love care self care self love managing emotions managing old beliefs etc etc get whirled around in the spiritual washing machine of parenting. I certainly didn t realize it at the time. Like the karate kid waxing the cars, i was growing unknowingly. Maybe you are too. I wish you well. ❤
@ally81522 күн бұрын
As a mom of three, (oldest flew the nest 10 years ago, younger two are early teens), I speak from experience and offer that you are fulfilling your greatest potential by being in the mom role right now. Society has conditioned us to believe that where we are in life is not enough....we need to do more/be more/achieve more. I believe we came here to grow and expand our consciousness...not necessarily accomplish external endeavors...and we can do that beautifully and perfectly in all the roles we play, including parenting. 💗

The reason situations are so politically/socially polarized (IMHO), is because we have a subset of society who (want to) deny others the right to exist. They seek to deny, marginalize and subjugate those who don’t agree with them or live “their way”. It has become a moral/ethical dilemma. All “they” need to do is live their own lives & leave others alone and that is too much to ask. For example, I personally know a family who left a neighborhood because an Indian family moved in. The father said “I don’t want to sit in my yard and see people like them.”. We truly are not the same.
@stephaniegreenwood40072 күн бұрын
This really is what so much human suffering boils down to, but what causes this. Because it is pretty scary how incredibly common it is for people to feel this way, and people like this are extremely motivated to gain power and control, just so they can oppress or harm others…why is this! There is not practical reason for this, but it causes people to go to incredible lengths, to spend or give up massive amounts of money, billions and billions of dollars at a national level, trillions at a world level. It ruins families, friendships, marriages, and millions of lives. Why do people feel like it is such a matter of life or death to things away from others when they gain nothing from it, in fact they usually lose massively. Like losing fair wages, affordable housing, healthcare, college. People even hand over their own human rights on a platter and lose everything that is important. Why? It is such poison for all human kind and always has been. The only times humans have successful societies is when they are able to massively restrict or imprison people who feel this way, and act who act on it. When bigotry is not socially acceptable, that helps the most, but even then criminal justice systems need to be very good and very fair in order to minimize it too. And then societies need to put massive amounts of efforts into educating against bigotry, and cruelty like this…and never, ever, under any circumstances vote for people that feel this way.

It is all the people who were not remembered for more than a generation after they died who makes the world work. I have learned the hard way that it is just as glorious to be a "nobody" than famous, and that famous people are not necessarily a person that holds a high vibration in the spiritual circles.

Really enjoyed her. One note re Joseph Campbell and his interpretation of a “hero’s journey.” That is just one type of tale and type. There are many other lenses and frameworks. Joseph Campbell’s view got a lot of traction through Star Wars, George Lucas, and the interviews with Bill Moyers. There’s a lot more to the story and the world. Thanks for your podcasts!
