Is this actual footage from the solar observatory or is this a computer animation/simulation? The image is so crisp and detailed that it doesn't look real - it looks like CGI.

Videos like this never include a time scale. Did this occur in under two minutes or is it a time lapse? It could have happened over minutes, hours, days, or weeks. Knowing this would change the perspective entirely.

Well, The α and β radiation (electrons, positrons and helium nuclei) travel close to the speed of light and the γ radiation travels at the speed of light, because it's basically high energy photons.

This is a time-lapse. The SDO instrument that took these images captures 10 different wavelengths of light every 12 seconds or so.
