Being in my late teens and early twenties from mid 1960's to early 1970's which was the Muscle car era in the USA this type of V8 was king on the streets. Just such awesome sounding and just so powerful cars. From new with no mods, they were just scary fast. 7.4 or 7.5 liters.

They need to do it again. Next time, bump the RPM limiter to 9000, give the car a seven speed transmission, better brakes and a rear wing rather than a barn door spoiler. I could only imagine how it would perform with these features if it was already ahead of the entire GTE field and competitive with several LMP2 cars.

Do you have any idea which driver was fastest? How did they resolve the arm distance to he steering wheel. F1 Drivers like it at full arm length. NASCAR is typically elbows down and steering wheel in the chest. Paddle shifting seems an improvement. One driver adding gas on down shifts the others letting the engine brake. I prefer engine braking as it seems counter productive to slowing the car by adding gas in braking. Fascinating experience. I would love to see this formula adopted in the USA. I believe Americans are over seeing how fast cars can go on an oval. And I’d love a street version car. homolgation, baby!

This issue is Oil. They said they'll have to pour some in every 2 hours. So every other pitstop. Believe they also said the brakes will be changed around the 14-16 hour mark.
