I'm so glad I found this news program. There is so much on NSF that I didn't know this existed, and frankly the weekly news recap is all I want. I wish it was also posted on a separate channel just for this! I'm a refugee from the spacex only "we moved a piece of rebar this week" channels, and I absolutely love hearing about all spacenews instead.

Right?! lol Given the short timeframe, I can only think of three possibilities: 1) She fashions them herself, from necklace/bracelet "charms" 2) She lives in the Space Coast and just knows of a jewelry vendor/maker who makes and sells lots of this stuff, so she can easily come up with one that suits the episode. 3) She 3D prints them and then maybe paints them or even metallic plates them (can do that with conductive paint and electro-plating)... but even *that* I think would require a whole week to make...

There's so much info here it really could use an index. I've been listening while doing other stuff (I know, I should put 100% of my attention to This Channel, but there's so much going on thesedays, at least I'm not a Boeing space employee), and I missed mention the Falcon 9 second stage stuck in orbit. I got the second mention around 18:00 and "as we discussed earlier" which tells me I missed it for sure.

We have a number of second stages going to orbit and potentially having a good amount of fuel left. why not calculate a trajectory for one or more of them to collide at a calculated future intersection to push it in a good direction in the next couple of years so we have a better chance of intersecting it and knowing what the changed orbit will be. a few practice shots wouldn't be a bad thing.

With the idea of fully reusable second stage that could carry 20t payload where starship wants to carry 150t can they make one big enough to take that 20t up but also take enough fuel up to do a big enough burn to slow the vehicle down to a more manageable re entry speed

Curious if anyone knows: Has ANYONE evaluated the opportunity to … 1. launch a mission to try to match the path of 2024 YR24 asteroid and at very least get much more close-up data, and … 2. explore "nudging" with a sustained push (not a single kabam) to change its course reducing the chance of a collision. ? Thoughts? Alternatives could AT LEAST be modeled on Kerbal Space Program Video game.

why has Nasa gotten away from any company in a build off for making parts for space station , let any legal company have a shot of making any part that goes out for bidding , see what company’s can make new and innovated ways vs cost to help the program be great again , I know why because we give most opportunity’s to company’s that probably send money back thru white envelopes but i think any good company making great products would do anything needed to be able to earn money and build for our Country , we look at the same half dozen places and beside Elon , the rest have constantly failed and /or delayed over and over yet once again we let them bid , nice to be unsuccessful and constantly get to try again after losing our money
