Man go watch Hunt The Front on KZbin. You’ll get a good grasp of dirt racing. You gotta learn where to run idk with this game but the color and look of that dirt matters on where you run. Gotta know those things. Good luck!

26:48 - when he makes comment that they didn’t put crew chiefs in the box... makes me think you didn’t watch the original race at Bristol Dirt.. because crew chiefs were on top of the haulers during the race.. so they could see the track and stay away from the dust of the dirt!! That’s a great attention to detail on their part

Update - Cautions are nonexistent, no stages, AI are awful, steering assist, spotter glitch, pit stop cinematics are too much, unrealistic crashes, leaderboard spazzing out, and game crashing. Can’t believe it’s supposed to officially release next week. Add to the list for more bugs that need to be fixed. There shouldn’t be any excuses.

Idk if thats just me being stupid but I wanted to ask that forever. For the setup screen, there seem to be two options there, B for exit and A for select. You’ve said the whole time when you exit it, it doesn’t save. Maybe you need to select it with A somehow? Maybe I think to simple but idk lets give it a try?

I'd be more inclined to agree with your Bristol dirt assessment if the spring race had been any good over the last few years and/or people at least showed up to it. And if anything I think it amps up the excitement/intensity for the second race even more. I also had, arguably, my best week on iRacing when A-Class ran Bristol Dirt. Sooo there's that. Regardless, the track looks really good aside from the flag stand popping in. Hoping by release they can work some of the more egregious issues out and I'll be picking it up.

I think that at Bristol Dirt a majority of the crew chiefs opted to do the dirt racing tradition and sat on top of the haulers, try to look for the crew chiefs in the pit box things in a normal Bristol race

For the dirt race at Bristol they did stand on their haulers mostly. They didn't put up their big boxes for the race however.

For Bristol dirt, crew chiefs actually were on the haulers as opposed to the pit box. That's why it was like that in the infield

Seems like no matter what, you'd slide up or slide around. Maybe it needs a bit of work?? This is the first time the rFactor 2 engine has been used for dirt racing so it might be issues with that

Well the thing about the real life Cup race at dirt Bristol is compared to like a dirt midget or late model stock, the cup cars looked like they were on rails. When Bristol had other racing series race the track they were sliding almost the entire race track, when cup cars got on they just did not slide nearly as much as other series were. Most of the cup Bristol dirt race everyone stuck to the bottom of the race track because cup cars just can't carry as much speed on the top.

Does NASCAR allow staggered tires? Don't really follow NASCAR as I'm a USAC Sprint and Midget guy. If you can stagger the tires then the stagger will make the car turn with little turning of the wheel. Down the straights you have to keep right pressure to counteract the stagger. BTW there's a huge difference between sprints and winged sprints. Going to try iracing soon and see how realistic it between the two versions.

Dirt racing you steer with the throttle more than the wheel. You keep mashing the gas when you get sideways and its gonna make you spin even more. More gas=more sideways
