Watching NASCAR is literally the embodiment of a toxic and abusive relationship where you just keep going back for more. I have said time and time again that I'm done with this shit and yet every Sunday I go back for more suffrage and abuse. I don't know if it's because I keep lying to myself that one day it will eventually get better, or if it's because I know if I let it go a piece of me that I've carried for the last 17 years just withers away all for nothing. As a fan since 2001, I feel your pain and can understand why a majority of the fanbase and community are either watching less NASCAR and leaving altogether. Won’t hold that against them but for me, yes I’m fed up, angry and frustrated with the many flaws of the sport but at the same time even with all that, I love it way too much to leave altogether myself so as much as I don’t wanna believe I’m saying this, I will be back next year and beyond and continue to watch until either the sport is dead or I’m dead whichever comes first. I only watched 1 NASCAR race the entire; The Daytona Truck race, & that was only because Johnny Sauter was in it. Even then I couldn't tell you the last time previously that I watched a NASCAR race flag-to-flag. I've tuned out for so long because the Jim France regime cares about racing even less than the Brian France regime. I'm honestly now afraid to feel any genuine emotion regarding NASCAR because over 99% of the time it's gonna be anger because of something absurdly stupid. The less than 1% that should be happiness is now just 'meh'. When Brad Keselowski won Darlington, all I could muster was "Ahh. Good for him. I knew deep down he still had it." ... I didn't even feel any excitement. Just 'meh' happiness at best. Modern era NASCAR is so bad I brought back the #BoycottNASCAR campaign, because the people who run NASCAR now do not care. So why should we?... If NASCAR goes bankrupt & ceases to exist like SRX did, I'd feel genuine happiness for all of auto racing. Actual racing fans should support any & every racing series that is *not* NASCAR. Because as long as the France/Kennedy family still remain in power, there is no hope for auto racing's future. We need to hit them where it hurts them most... their wallets & the ratings! Do not watch NASCAR. Do not support NASCAR. #BoycottNASCAR
