I was there in-person, and I can tell you that as great as this sounds in the video, it cannot capture the rumble I felt in my chest every time it when by. Nor does it really capture the “here comes an ass-kicking” nature of the sound as it approached. The Cadillacs had a great rumble as well, but still not as cool as this car. And the Europeans loved it.

Come to a NASCAR race next time you visit, where they go a consistent 185-210mph, and there's 36-40 of them fucking hammering it wide open. You need earplugs, it'll blow your clothes off and the stadium shakes. You'd have a blast I've never seen it get competitive like other contact sports, just everybody having a great time

Garage 56 nascar was so successful it almost stole the show from the LMDH's, even ppl with not a lot of interest in motorsports where tuning in to just see where the nascar was and it was all over social media. It was also 200lbs heavier than the GTE's and almost a full 1000 lbs heavier than the LMP2 cars, and had less downforce than any of the other cars on the track. Horsepower doesn't mean anything if you can't keep it on the ground. A 200hp civic with all of the aero in the world will wreck a 500hp Mustang with a stock body in a road course. Of course, you'd know all of this if you'd ever set tire on a track. Looks like you're too busy with video games to ever try though.

OK. But NASCAR as a ruling body won't allow the teams to improvise and tweak their cars like they were allowed to do at Le Mans. And that's a shame - because if they did permit it, then you would see innovation return to NASCAR instead of the cookie-cutter approach - and a much better product on the track for the fans would result. As it is, NASCAR's ruling elite won't risk it because they would have to share power.
