It’s because of a very strict curfew in Concord. I have gone to the world dirt finals since 2015, and that first year they had issues with weather and started a bit late. They kept going until about 1:30 am and finished… and paid a hefty fine after. Since then they stop at midnight, no exceptions.

Can’t believe they canceled the last bit of the coca-Cola 600. The only reason it is a crown jewel in the sport is because it is the longest race on the cup schedule and Memorial Day implications. Fox called the race! So over the garbage that is fox! The broadcast is an embarrassment week after week. Not to mention in the Chicago area we had coverage of a stupid weather alert that lasted approximately an hour. Missed the end of stage 1 and I believe it was somewhere around lap 60 into the second stage before the broadcast came back. Scroll the dumb weather alert across the bottom of the screen in words. Absolutely absurd but not surprising unfortunately.

So Charlotte's NASCAR Cup Series history with Fox ends with rain well considering their first Charlotte race was impacted with rain (via FX in the 2001 All Star Race) it's kinda fitting in that regard. So we'll find out how Amazon does next year with this event. Plus the CW with the Xfinity race not only with Roval this year but next year on the oval.

Disgrace of a sporting event and it had nothing to do with the weather. The one time they finally have good attendance at a track and this is what they do. Idiots are in charge. Swap to rain tires and race. Go woke, go broke. I love stock car racing. But NASCAR is like a mafia controlled union now and the sport is ruined without replacing the entire leadership. Asking track owners to remove sections of seating to make races appear more crowded is disturbing. Shopping the networks broadcast rights all over the place during a season so the races are impossible to follow. Zero respect from NASCAR for its own fans. Wouldn't be a surprise if they're staging fake driver conflicts and confrontations to boost failing ratings and ticket sales. Indy had serious weather problems and the event was a huge success and exciting to watch.
