1,000 hp at Martinsville won't make much of a difference, if anything it would be worse cause they would only be at half throttle because the tires would spin so bad, I'm sorry but just like Bristol bad tire wear doesn't make a good race, drivers driving conservatively doesn't make a good race, good racing is when you can either use your skill or car to pass the drivers in front of you. Daytona, Atlanta, las Vegas, cota and Martinsville have been all great races, while phoenix, Bristol and Richmond were bad imo, im personally more looking forward to the super speedway, road courses and intermediates, besides Martinsville the shorter ovals are just either bland or Goodyear makes a mistake like bristol

This reminds me of the clash at the LA Coliseum. The tracks are too small for a "race". Half the day was nothing but caution laps. Only thing good about the event was a short cypress hill set.

You know, I have thought about this and really Nascar is just a big joke but it was going to happen no matter what. Its really the cars fault. Sounds crazy but think about this. In the days of Richard Petty he was racing and got in a wreck. His crew went out to the family car and took the front off and put it on his race car during the race. NO JOKE. Today you have people that can't relate to win on Sunday buy on Monday. Most cars we have are automatic, front wheel drive, couldn't drift in a corner if they had to. even going into a corner the back end won't slide around on front wheel drive. I don't think people today can relate to what we see on a track. Totally IROC. It use to be a southern sport, know it's sold on the stock exchange. You had the days of Ned Jarrett, Dr. Jerry Punch, and great reporters on ESPN which has gone woke. You never know what channel the next race is on and Fox ( give me a break) absolutely the worst. It's unbelievable though how they will show the winner and won't show the rest of the race because they have to show the crew jump up and down like a bunch of monkeys. The money that it takes to run a team is just unheard of. The 3 stage format is the stupidist thing I have ever seen. Closing great tracks has destroyed so much tradition. guys like Cale, petty, Pearson, Issac and the like made Nascar the culture it was. Thousands upon thousands of fans. Now empty stands. They don't care though because of TV. Money. The cars are cookie cutters and the only difference is the motor. The sport is hostage to the cars we buy, no more STOCK car. The T.V. rights. The money it takes to run a car. The joke announcers they have. Not much of a sport anymore. Guess I just miss the Nascar Winston Cup Racing.
