Bobby Labonte won their 1st Championship in 2000. Tony Stewart won his 2nd Championship and 3rd overall for JGR.

Denny winning the Daytona 500 this year for JD was like Jimmie winning 2004 for the 10 people who died in that plane crash at Martinsville. Memories came up, that are stories only the life can write. Thank You JD - from Germany - for all the memories.

I met JD once at JGR Racing. It was the Thursday before the All Star race at Charlotte. I recall how he walked up to us fans, shook our hands and told us he appreciated us stopping by. That moment has always stuck with me.

What a blessing jd was to have such a special blessing on so many lives.my husband just loved him and his dad so much.it still makes him cry when he sees coach talk about jd.so Joe I truly beleave that one day you will stroll over heaven with jd.thats when the true championship will have been won.may God continue to bless the Gibbs family.

Denny deserved the win he got. R.i.p J.D Gibbs. Kyle Busch is my favorite driver of all time. But Denny Hamlin is my driver of the year. He better win the championship

I’m sure (even though it doesn’t take away from their loss), I’m sure with Denny Hamlin winning the Daytona 500, gave the Gibbs family the best medicine, as in it brings them peace, but nevertheless, My condolences to the Gibbs Family...
