Nascar was more real back in those days. Take me back in the future to that time when racing was at its best.

Although any long time NASCAR fan knows Petty drove a Ford in 1969 it still looks strange.

Because GM paid him more money to switch LMAO. Do you honestly think FORD VS CHEVY is a real thing? Lol it's just American capitalism at it's finest! Nothing wrong with it but you need to understand FORD VS CHEVY HAS LITERALLY ZERO DIFFERENCE

@@BannedSports GM? Well I guess if GM paid a team to switch from Plymouth to Ford that would explain some weird things.

@@BannedSports GM was not even participating in nascar between 1964 and 1970.

This was the 3rd race for the Winged Dodge Daytona. It won its first outing at Talladega where it faced no REAL competition........the next race at Charlotte was the first test........Donnie Allision dominated and won in his #27 Torino.......setback by severe handling issues most of the major Mopar drivers switched back to Charger 500s for this event. It did not go well for the Daytonas with Dave Marcis logging the best winged finish but he was 22 laps down.

Leroy won in a Ford not a Dodge You don't think Ford would have released a race film with a Doge winning do you ? Leroy won the Daytona 500 in that same 69 Ford
