Ps2 had a NASCAR game where the hoods flew off not just yours but the others. The damage isn’t permanent on theirs either in these newer games....unlike NASCAR ‘06 on PS2.

I had nascar 2003 when I was a kid and my favorite part of the game was being able to drive the wrong way and cause huge accidents and fill the track with parts! It's sad to see how bad the games are now. I stopped playing when they restarted your car the second you went the wrong way lol

Fernando SimRacer Agree. The crash graphics look like a copy and paste from last year. A new generation system game should have better damage than this. Burnout paradise and wreckfest are more realistic. I’m really hoping heat 4 is the last game 704 develops because they suck with these copy and paste from the last game. Nascar thunder 04 was by far the best nascar game on a console. I would rather pay money to play Iracing which is far more realistic than this garbage

@@clcbc97 Couldn't agree more. Thunder 2004 to this day is the best NASCAR game. I still play it all the time. It's amazingly realistic how your car handles with the driving assists turned off. Graphics are even pretty good along with the damage and audio.

kevin overly 704 got the license to make NASCAR games for the next 10 years. Also Burnout and Wreckfest don’t have real licensed vehicles and their main focus is crashing. There’s limitations with most licensed cars. I’m fine with 704 prioritizing physics and such over damage modeling. With probably only one more nascar game on this gen, I’m guessing they will probably wait until next gen to work on damage modeling.
